Did a quick search and could not find thread asking this in the forums...
If Bradley wins October and he lets his contract with Top Rank expire, who wins come next year, if they decide to fight?
Edit: Oh and he wins decisively, not by gift decision
I like Bradley in this fight. Bradley only struggles against fighters with real power. Anyone else he outboxes. He has a good jab, throws combinations, good footwork, iron chin.
I am all for that fight especially if Bradley beats JMM...a LEGIT WIN not some controversial BS.
I think Regardless Bradley has a style that would give Mayweather some problems, Good quick Jab, good body puncher and he can bounce around a lot and avoid some of those Mayweather counters but...he would still lose
I never thought so either but this is the 1st time where I think its very possible. It has nothing to do with Sergio lookiing shot but more to do with Floyd fighting Canelo. If he's willing to fight a big strong beast like Canelo then I think he would be open to fighting Sergio at 154. I think it all comes down to how he looks & feels. If Floyd wins but struggles and takes punishment against Canelo then I dont see it but if he dominates him then I could see him taking on Sergio
I agree, but us as fans kinda stretch Floyd out to 54 (I know he holds a belt) but I wouldn't say he's a natural 54. Now if bradley gets through Marquez. I think he would have the best resume at 47 so if Floyd were to defend a belt at 47 I think it only makes sense that its bradley
Haha no I'm a realist if he wanted the canelo fight he would have signed the contract in may which would have put canelo on his undercard. That's why there was a huge hold up on the Guerrero fight, because he point blank refused to sign for the canelo fight on sept 14. Remember? He still wanted canelo on his undercard and canelo said no way. Then showtime lost 10+ mil on the Guerrero card and the only opponent they would approve for a 30+ mil gaurentee is canelo. It's fact. So give the fans who said no more cherry picks credit.
So HBO couldn't force Floyd to fight Manny(in the biggest fight in history) but Showtime made Floyd fight Canelo ok if you want to believe that. They would approve for Floyd to fight me.
Me too, but I just don't think it will happen. Not unless Martinez keeps looking shot...

Bradley wins a UD because of the damage Floyd suffers in the Canelo fight. Bradley shows him too much movement and speed and he ties Floyd up preventing him from landing any counter shots while landing his own counters.
Floyd retires after this loss and Bradley goes on to be P4P#1

People talking about Mayweather stopping Bradley,smh........are we talking about the same Mayweather who hasn't stopped anyone in the last 6 years besides by sucker punching Ortiz? The same Ortiz who was stopped by Maidana and Lopez?
Yet Floyd is going to stop Bradley who hasn't ever lost a fight much less been stopped? If Provid could hit Tim with those shots and couldn't take him out, how the hell is Floyd supposed to do it? Floyd couldn't stop Guerrero for crying out loud, dude was barely touched up after the fight.
People are crazy on this site.
That's exactly what people were saying prior to the Hatton fight.
I don't know man,Martinez..I've wanted that fight for sometime now..

If bradley gets past Marquez this would be one of the next logical fights for Floyd. More so than a GGG or a Martinez fight IMO

I don't know about you, but I normally don't take fights I don't want to take. You're just a hater. And your hate will grow further once Floyd beats Canelo. Thank you. Check please.

I just think Floyd is the worst matchup in boxing for Bradley. Thats why I cant understand how people think Bradley could win some rounds or make it tough or make it work. There is not 1 single thing at all that he does better than Floyd. Not even close. All the advantages he has on other fighters, are still not better than Floyd's. Not his movement, versitilitey, or anything.
He's easy to hit and Floyd is accurate. Most of all, he's a righty. People think about the Ghost fight but Ghost is a Southpaw. Floyd would be more aggressive against Bradley. I dont even think he would land a meaningful punch the whole fight.
I do believe Floyd is a accurate puncher, but I can see him having a lot of trouble hitting Bradley clean tbh..Bradley has always made taller opponents miss a ton..His best performances were against bigger fighters(in height),I picked Mayweather cause imo there is nobody better at in ring adjustments..I do however see a tough fight for May with Bradley, who is a body puncher with very fast feet who can box as well as bang..I really don't see an easy fight for Floyd with Bradley..Hey to each their own tho..

Excellent response
Next don't thank floyd for the canelo fight he did not want it one bit.

I wouldn't give desert storm much of a chance to win. He can beat a guy like Marquez because Marquez is a great boxer but he's slow, who knows how Marquez is really aging? he looked so good against pac because he knows him well, Bradley is an athletic style who he hasn't seen before. But Bradley just isn't as good as Floyd, there's nothing that Bradley does better than Floyd.
Also, i don't think this fight will happen because the Pacquiao "Piggyback" thread will come up, along with "blown up Jr. Welter", "Bradley is shorter than Marquez". Ect.
Floyd would outbox Bradley over 12 rounds , nearly shutting him out.
I honestly think Floyd could have stopped both Marquez and Mosley had he stepped on the gas more. That just isn't the case with him though. He doesn't fight that way. Why take the chance?
Against Bradley, I'd picture a lop-sided UD. A fight similar to the JMM fight. Floyd is just too good.
He only seems to have problems with bigger men, which is why the Canelo fight will be a be challenge for him.
I give Floyd a lot of credit for taking the Canelo fight. He's fighting a MUCH bigger oppponent. Catchweight or not.
Floyd didn't have either of them in trouble. Floyd doesn't stop people hes feather fisted, and to say he could defeats the whole point of stoppage because he didn't. Seriously with that mindset lets just mess with his résumé and add a few more stoppages where we are sure if floyd tries he would have. Next don't thank floyd for the canelo fight he did not want it one bit. Thank the fan who didn't buy the Guerrero fight they are the heros, or showtime for getting in way over there head with that massive deal.

If there is one thing I do know, it's that Tim is one of the p4p best fighters on the face of the entire planet regardless of what people on this site think of him. The man isn't some cake walk, people cling to the Provid fight and how Bradley "took a beating" yet Provid looked like he was hit by a truck after that fight. I'm just looking forward to the Marquez fight, that's all I'm saying. :boxing:
I don't think people are discrediting tim. Yes he is one of the best p4p fighters out there. But the gap between him and floyd is pretty wide. Hopefully the politics will cease and they can fight. If they do, be prepared to deal with the "this is a cherrypick" and "floyd is ducking matthysse or ggg" posters who see it differently than the rest of us.
I seriously doubt Floyd stops Bradley, but hey stranger things have happened..

exactly. Who was suppose to be an easy guy for Floyd to stop? Just because you cant stop a guy like Cotto at 154 or Mosley who has never been stopped means that you cant stop a guy like Bradley?
People make it sound like Floyd has had 100 fights recently. They say the only stop he's had since Hatton was a sucker punch against Ortiz but he's only had 4 other fights. Just 4. 2 were against Cotto at 154 and Shane. The other 2 were a Southpaw in Ghost where Sr went back to making him defensive and JMM after a 2 year layoff.
Dont tell me that means he has no chance of stopping Bradley.
