Not saying it's likely but let's say hypothetically....how does Paulie do this?
Two main keys have to be conditioning and staying on the outside. He has to be in shape enough to be on the move for 12 rounds because any slowdown or stints in the corner or on the ropes is a no no. And obviously, stay the hell out the phone booth.
Broner was getting hit a lot by Gavin Rees, although Rees was walking into a lot of shots to land his own... not a sustainable strategy for 12 rounds.
Paulie has to use distance and movement, don't get too greedy.
Use the jab to stay on the outside. Wait for Broner to attack him and then land some quick counters and move out. Move to the right all of the time to avoid his right hand.
He should smuggle a grenade in shorts or something positively radical because that's what he'll need to do to win. Naturally he'd probably get taken out in the blast, but the consolation is it would be by far the biggest shot Paulie has ever delivered.
He's not gonna win because you can't talk yourself into winning at this stage, if you don't believe it you're done.
Fight like how he fought Senchenko, use the jab, mix it up, put combinations together and get the hell out of there. Stick & move! Don't allow Broner to set himself. Simply put.
If Paulie from the Senchenko fight turns up mark my words, Broners in big trouble.
If he does happen to have success and is still in the fight as it moves along, maintain the showmanship. It's something he does well and in some fights u need it
What everyone else said, Broners flat footed come forward style could work against him only if Paulie has the energy to stay on the move for the full 12.. if he hits that rounds 7 or 8 wall, he could be stopped.
He doesn't have the tools, all there is to it. Ricky Burns, Miguel Vazquez, Abril, Crawford and Gamboa have more tools in their arsenal, whether you feel they have a shot or not. That jab is all he has going for him and Broner will probably time it within the first round. That movement of his won't be troubling either. I like Malignagii as much as the next man but he ain't gonna do it.
