Do you lump Garcia with Broner?

If a fighter is having trouble making weight they should move up to the next weight class rather than come in heavy on purpose and fight a smaller lighter guy that really does belong in that weight class. With a new weight class every 5 pounds or so there is a proper weight class for all fighters. If they are big for the weight but still make weight then I have no problem with that. They are playing within the rules.

Yeah I lump the two together. If a guy can't make the weight he should be given a tougher penalty. Mikey knew well before the way in how far out he would be. Simply being stripped of a title and being fined 100k isn't enough for the A side, Mikey earned enough that the fine won't make a huge dent. Mikey should be suspended. Both of them outgrew the division, neither of them could make the weight and it was evident in how both of them looked at the weigh in, neither of them looked like they could shred the necessary pounds to make it. Broner acted immature about it but it's the same exact situation. I'll never understand the outcry, we're talking about two young fighters who are still growing. True, they're both outgrowing their division. But they're champions in that division. I guess it's just me, but they're held to a higher standard than other boxers, or at least should be. The fact they're outgrowing their division didn't just pop up when they were overweight either. I'm fairly sure that they know they're too big and they're just looking for that last fight they can do before they absolutely must move up. I think in Garcia's case he could maybe make 126 again, but Broner probably will never make 130 again. Also, Garcia outrcy isn't as bad as Broner

Look at rios who looks dead almost all his fights. It's not healthy dude. If he couldn't make weight then give him a pass. If he does it again you have the right to criticize. Things happen
