is it really all that?
i dont see how you can appreciate a fight when you cant see it properly.
only plus is the fact you have atmosphere, but at home i can just put the volume up and create the same effect
so all in all, is it even worth going?
When you're at a fight live you see the effects of the punches more, peoples head rocking back, the sound effects and you feel the tension more. Seeing entrances and stuff is quite nice to see as well.

You can never create the same effect at home. Watch the tape of ODL / Vargas and youll be able to tell right away how you can never replicate it.
Every true boxing fan should experience at least one big fight. True, you will have a better view at home but the atmosphere is something you can't recreate at home no matter how loud you turn your speakers up.
Its fun going to see a fight live if I could do it all the time I would.
This man I ain't lying.
If I had money and a private jet I'd be at every single event.

You need to attend a live event. Definitely way better than at home and you will also appreciate what these guys do more afterwards.

I think the word "event" really says it all.
A boxing match isn't just a fight. There are press conferences, weigh ins, confrontations, undercard matches, etc
When you experience that palpable tension and feel it build up firsthand over the course of 2-3 days you get a great perspective on what makes boxing so unique.

Get good seats. Hear the thud of the punches. Watch the sweat and blood fly.
Watch the crowd get amped. See hot babes and former fighters.
Well worth it.

I agree.
Going out to Las Vegas for a big fight is something every fan should do - like a boxing pilgrimage - but any fight will really do for a fan that hasn't experienced it before.
I don't think people realize how awesome Vegas is when a big fight is in town, how many fighters show up and how easily accessible they are.
When I went to the Hatton-Pauli fight I met Librado Andrade, Chad Dawson, Ricky Hatton, Juan Diaz, James Kirkland, Brian Vera, Al Bernstein and Roger Mayweather all in about a one hour window.
It's a "Live" show! Can't beat a live boxing event. Bring your girl or wife and be ready for some activity later on! Women who have never been usually love the excitement! You'll have a different perspective for boxing thats for sure!! Its very very "Real" live! Ray.

Yes. You can see fine if get decent seats. Running into fighters before and after fights make it well worth it as well.
