Both Wlad and Ward are widely regarded as not very entertaining champions so I wanted to put them head to head in a poll. Who do you think is least entertaining, more boring, out of the two of them? This is primarily focusing on their in-ring entertainment value, their fighting styles. But, you can also take into consideration their out-of-the-ring personality if you're having difficulty choosing between the two.
Wlad is easily my fav fighter, the most naturally gifted fighter in the world. His kncokouts are beautiful.
Wards does 1000000000000000000000 clinches, and then struggles to knock anyone out.
wlad is least favorite to watch cuz he puts fear into weak opposition and fears them also.don't know what the hate on ward is he has what a young mayweather ,an 0 but no character

Wlad is much more boring. Ward throws combinations, 3, 4, 5 punches at a time, works the body and shows great ring generalship. Wlad may get the ko more times than not, but waiting for it to happen can make a person feel like they have narcolepsy. Jab, jab, grab. Jab, right, grab. And on the very rare occasion mix in a hook. Wlad is undoubtedly the most boring fighter of the two and without a doubt the most boring heavyweight great ever!
They don't call him Andre "Son of Bore" Ward for nothing.
Even without his 90+ initiated clinches and headbutting, he's still a feather fisted bible thumper.
Wlad knocks *****s out. Wlad is the shit.
:rofl::rofl::rofl:
Wlad sells out stadiums consistently so he must be doing something right
As for the Ducketts comment, he isn't American, and US culture often doesn't allow for outsiders to take the spotlight if they dont fight in the US. If you're in Europe, everyone knows who Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko are. Ali and Tyson were really the only ones that achieved global fame. Holyfield wasn't that well known over here till he fought Tyson and Lewis. I don't like it when people confuse US and the world.
Ever wondered why he isn't on PPV?
I'm in Europe, nobody have any idea who the Klitschkos are. Unless you're a boxing fan, you wouldn't really know. Germans know who they are, but outside of Germany, it's only for boxing fans. But that goes for virtually all fighters these days. But I could ask my granddad who Tyson is and he'd know in a heartbeat.

I haven't seen a boring performance from Wlad in ages, same goes for Ward. I find Ward more entertaining though, more versatile, uses every punch in the book far more consistently than Wlad.
Jean Marc Mormeck ring a bell? David Haye? Tony Thompson II?
Hell i'm still not over Ibragimov. Omg.

Ward is one of my favorite fighters to watch. The man is poetry in motion, pure entertainment.
Wlad is usually okey in terms of entertainment value but he can be boring sometimes. Mainly when he carries tomato cans he could easily finish on the spot.
Ward is never in with that pathetic level of oposition anymore so you cant hold it against him that hes cautious at times since his oponents pose a legitimate threat. If hes ever in there with a no hoper like shelby pudwill he takes him out quickly like he is supposed to.
Just no.... :pat:
Both are entertaining. Wlad is a strange case however. He is the hvw champion of the world. The baddest man on the planet. Wlad should be universally recognized by even the casual fans around the world. Holmes went through the same thing. Sometimes it just doesn't happen.
Wlad and Ward are no more boring than any great champion past or present. Boring is another word I can't ****ing stand. Boring and quit should be banned from the boxing library.
I say Wladimir Klitschko because he just so happens to be in the most glamorous, exciting and prestigious division in all of boxing history. The same division, I mind you that brought us the likes of all-time heavyweight sluggers and charismatic greats such as: Jack Johnson, Jack Dempsey, Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano, Muhammad Ali and a primed Mike Tyson. This is why the Heavyweight division has historically enjoyed the largest gates and most attractive draws of any sporting event in history because of the intrigue that a fight could end in just one punch at any given notice.
Wladimir on the other hand, given his size of 6'7 and 250 lbs is not a good ambassador for the sport of boxing (especially the heavyweight division). Like the all-time greats before him, he has both the ability and potential to bring some much needed life back into the sport of boxing in general and in the heavyweight division in particular; However he lacks the will. For one, he is just too defensive with poor stamina. He would just rather carry an opponent than knocking them out early. Also, he likes to fight a slower pace, by constant clinching his opponents and working behind his jab, in order to avoid exchanging and trading punches with them for fear of punching himself out. He is perhaps the sole reason why the public in general is so turned off by the sport, due to the division he is currently competing in and also coupled with his boxing style.
Never understood the point of making a thread which is negative and pessimistic in its outset.
Both are champs and quality fighters.
^^
If someone from Denmark passes up a chance to take a shot at Ward then you know it's time to give the hating a break.
This would break Bat's heart to see this.
Ward. I like watching Wladimir fight I think hes great and a genetic freak. Its not every day you see a 6ft6, 250lb powerhouse that coordinated, that athletic, agile. The guys a beast & very rarely in a dull fight. Only dull fight I can recall him in in recent years off the top of my head was against Haye and I put the blame fully on Haye who was pretty much in full survival mode.
I think Wlad is more boring - closely followed by Ward. At least Ward fights the best time after time, whereas Wlad is fighting a lot of cans, and still carries them for 6 rounds.
I don't usually watch either guy fight live, because I always end up disappointed that I stayed up. Wlad and I had an incident back in 2008 with the Ibragimov fight. Never forgave him for keeping me up until early in the morning that night.
Have you forgiven David Haye for his pathetic effort in which he set the all time record for fewest punches thrown in a 12 round fight against Valuev??
His effort against Wlad was pathetic even compared to Ibragimov's sorry ass display. I think Sultan threw twice as many punches as David did yet for some reason you enjoyed Davey dropping to his knees and going for Klitschko's c0ck all night long.... gee I wonder why?
Wlad has always been one of my favorite fighters to watch and I enjoy the way he methodically breaks his opponents will and then knocks them out. Sure there are some things about his style that are unappealing but you can't blame him as those qualities are meant to cover up weaknesses.
Ward I also enjoy but less than Wlad. Mostly I like him because of how pissy and *****y all the f@ggy little Euro posters get about him. They just can't handle that the p4p title is going to stay in the United States for another 10 years after Floyd is gone.
If we want to talk about boring world champions.
Rigondeaux
Gamboa
Miguel Vazquez
Bhop
Devon Alexander
I would rather watch Wlad or Ward train than any of the above fight.
To me Ward is a bit boring, because Wladimir at least knocks his opponents out. (not that I like to see people hurt or anything).
Both the bros have tremendous power in both hands.
Klitschko knocks people out and Ward has a very interesting style: slick, intelligent and creative, it is a pleasure to watch
If a fighter doesn't go all Gatti on the opponent he isn;t entertaining? Stop watching boxing
