For those of you who are picking Canelo Alvarez to beat Floyd Mayweather, I have a question for you guys. If Floyd wins the fight, will you use the catch weight as an excuse for why Canelo lost? If you're picking Alvarez to win the fight, then I guess that means the weight can't be used an excuse right?
I'm picking Canelo but I won't mention the catchweight unless he starts getting dropped etc. that would suggest weight-draining in effect.
Last time Canelo had a hard time making weight he put in a below-par performance v Matthew Hatton.
What Floyd did was really unnecessary.
In other words, your picking Canelo, but you won't mention the catchweight unless he loses.
Your excuses are already locked and loaded.

I'm picking Canelo. But it depends on how he looks in the fight. If he's wobbled left and right and can't manage to do much of anything, then obviously the weight would be a legitamite excuse. But if he looks good and simply gets beaten by the craftier fighter, then I won't use weight as an excuse.
I think that what's likely to happen is that Canelo looks lost and outclassed by the superior fighter. I think Canelo will have some moments early on in the fight, but he will eventually be figured out and Floyd will make him look really bad. Who the hell looks good when they fight Floyd?

The real question is will the flojotos use Canelo's weight advantage on fight night as an excuse if he wins? "If you're picking Money to win the fight, then I guess that means the weight can't be used an excuse right?"
Btw, I'm picking Money to win, but wouldn't be surprised if Canelo pulls the upset.
