I really like erislandy lara and i want to watch some more footage of him before he fights on saturday. what would you consider his best performance and why.
Were you ringside!!! All im saying is that paul makes it tough on judges because he throws 100 punches and always goes forward...
I thought lara won but it isnt the worst robbery i have ever seen....
If was much like the williams-serg 1 fight.... Lara def tagged him with some big shots put he didnt have the level of activity that Williams had...
Truthfully i only saw the fight once when it was live, and didnt believe it to be a robbery, i thought lara had it but it could have gone either way.....
Maybe i will have to rewatch it but honestly
The point is lara didnt impress me in any of his big fights.... He looked his best vs williams but williams makes everyone look good due to his style
Again a post of complete bullsh1t, Lara beat his ass, plain and simple. You're just trying to go against the grain. You and everybody else knows it was clearly a robbery
Obviously the Williams fight, which he was robbed in.
I think Lara is a case of a fighter who's talent/skills are greater than his performances and resume indicate. I'm interested in seeing him against Agulo, who he should beat easily IMO.
What a bunch of crap, Lara clearly beat his ass, its not at all debatable

I thought Lara won, but judging at ringside would be tough since, williams never goes backwards, and throws 100 punches around.... I can see how some at ringside could score it for Paul... If you watching on tv then def lara won 115-113 but he didnt beat him as bad as quintana did the first fight....
After all Paul was there to be hit, and lara didnt do what serg an Elite guy, was able to do to paul....
Just saying that Lara has yet to impress me at the elite level.

Honestly i havent been super impressed with lara... I thought molina and williams fight could have gone either way, He looked horrible vs Matriosyian but they may have to do with styles of those guys just not meshing......
Not sayng he is a bad fighter but has yet to impress me at the elite level, but same thing i could say about rigo before donaire fight so you never know what these guys are capable of

I bet Andre Berto was dying to sign up to this site and have a good laugh at the expense of all the goofs that were on Lara's balls and predicting an early knockout for him against Hernandez.
In hindsight, beating a Paul Williams that was clearly damaged goods wasn't all that impressive. More of a right place, right time sort of thing.
*Gives himself a slap* How did I forget that ffs
I thought he performed well against Hernandez... I know, I know -- it was Hernandez, but, just from a boxing/countering standpoint, he was sharp.

Hands down the Paul Williams "loss." For one, it was Lara's biggest name. Erislandy fought a great fight, countering Williams at every turn. Lara was more active than in many of his fights and showed heart, fighting with that huge knot on his head. That fight put him on the map. Unfortunately, Landy hasn't fought as impressively since.
