Seems like they're trying to piggyback of Mayweather's name.
Floyd is focusing on Canelo. Canelo is a tougher fight for Floyd bigger, stronger and more technical than Pacquiao.
i dont think so. i think the most important thing that pac brings is proper speed, proper power, also a southpaw. that gives floyd a headache.
Will never happen. Pac has lost what little leverage he had. At this point Floyd will offer him the same he offers Canelo or Cotto to fight and nothing more and Pac's ego won't let him accept that.
I really want to see Manny put together a string of impressive performances so we can build momentum towards a Manny-Floyd fight. Can you imagine if it happened now? The timing is terrible. Manny may be shot. I don't think he is, but you never know.
People all seem to forget Manny actually looked better than he has for a while and better than he ever has against Marquez in the fight before the KO.
I expect Manny to obliterate Rios in spectacular exciting fashion. TBH Manny will still be the most appealing fight after that because guys like Khan and Bradley have to rebuild (Tim been too quiet after the Manny "win") The 140 guys need to finish their match ups too.
I thought he was on his way to stopping marquez in that fight. But he jumped in and got hit with a counter. I still feel manny is a threat to Floyd, thats just me.
You're delusional, PAC doesn't make 40mil as a normal payday, 40mil would've been a career high payday. If the gov is taking 40% in taxes and arum is taking 30%-40% do the math. PAC wouldn't have to get loans from arum. Typical fan boy delusion, I like PAC but he's not making that much, do some research.
I think you are misunderstanding him.
I believe he is saying, if Manny would agree to $40 million that would not mean that Manny pockets the full amount. A percentage would then have to go to Arum, Roach, Ariza, Koncz,.... so after they all get a piece, Manny will be back to where he is when he fights his regular fights. Maybe a bit more, maybe a bit less but it would not be anywhere near $40 million.
So the point is, why would Manny have accepted the offer by Floyd and make close to what he usually makes, when you take all the above into consideration,.... ESPECIALLY when it was expected to be the biggest money fight in history?
Lol plenty of rich people go broke. So the idea that he'll be scrounging for money one day isn't exactly far-fetched, especially when you consider how stupid Manny is.
Well until that happens, he's making more money off his 14 second Hennessy commercial than you have made in your lifetime. Me too. I'm not trying to disparage you, me, or anybody else -- but come on. Admit it. It's kind of funny when some random dudes on a boxing forum who are probably posting from an Acer are trying to talk down on Manny Pacquiao's money situation.
:rofl::rofl::rofl:
So the fight will only happen if Pacquiao gets so poor and
he'll agree to take 10 and let Mayflower gets 80.
What a effing joke Mayweather is.
How do you clowns even know that Mayweather will agree
to anything when the bottom line is he wants nothing to
do with the Pacman? Pacman calls his bluff and Mayflower
comes up with a new one.

If you believe those numbers then you believe that pigs fly. Plus it is fact that Manny is getting advances from Top Rank as we speak.
If a man has 85 million he wouldn't need an advance.
It's also a fact that Bob arum takes 30% of manny's $$$$$
Roach gets 10%
Koncz gets his cut
Don't forget uncle sam
We can speculate all we want on the true amount of cash Manny has in his bank account, but at the end of the day he has and will always have more money in between his couch cushions than you and I will earn combined in our entire lifetimes. That is a fact. If you believe that Manny, once his career ends, will be scrounging for spare change to get by then you are delusional beyond reason. He's loaded. Only Floyd Mayweather Jr. has more money in his pockets from boxing than Manny Pacquiao.
Koncz: Door not closed on Mayweather-Pacquiao
by Lem Satterfield

Should Manny Pacquiao have "an exciting and impressive win" over once-beaten contender Brandon Rios, and Floyd Mayweather Jr. defeat RING 154-pound champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, the Filipino star would still be open to a bout with Mayweather, said Pacquiao's advisor, Michael Koncz.
Mayweather meets Alvarez on Sept. 14 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, while Pacquiao takes on Rios on Nov. 23 in Macau (Nov. 24 in China).
Pacquiao is trying to rebound from consecutive losses to WBO welterweight titleholder Tim Bradley in June, and Juan Manuel Marquez in December.
"Right now, Manny's focused on Brandon Rios, but Floyd is always a possibility. We've always said that we would fight Floyd," said Koncz.
"I think that Manny will have to have an impressive win in light of comments that Floyd has made about Manny losing his last two fights, and I think that if Manny has an exciting and impressive win come Nov. 24, then Floyd won't have any excuse if he really wants to fight."
Marquez and Bradley elected to fight each other -- instead of Pacquiao -- on Oct. 12 at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas.
"In my personal opinion, with my time spent with Manny, I don't think that Bradley or Marquez are anywhere in his memory banks," said Koncz. "We gave them an option, and we were intending to pay then fairly, and they chose not to fight us, so that's their loss, not ours."
Mayweather, whose past differences with Pacquiao over drug testing contributed to failed negotiations for a megabout, has employed random drug testing by the United State Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) for his past four victories: Shane Mosley by unanimous decision, Victor Ortiz by fourth-round knockout, and both Miguel Cotto and Robert Guerrero by unanimous decision.
Pacquiao and Rios have contractually agreed to be randomly drug tested by The Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA).
"Manny came out and said that he would agree to the testing, and that he would give Floyd a 60-40 split," said Koncz, who also does not believe that Mayweather's multi-fight deal with Showtime -- Pacquiao has mostly fought on HBO -- will be a factor. "Manny's not tied to to any network, so if the fans still want to see this fight, we're willing to do it."

No, but he's still tied to Arum.
pacquiao has got to get back on the winning side if they think this fight will gain any interest (at least to the actual boxing community). knowing that marquez is not interested in doing another pacquiao fight, i say arum and koncz go after a bradley rematch (regardless of the outcome in marquez/bradley) after they take care of business in china. i think pacquiao having wins over rios and bradley will be enough to get some excitement back in that match up (mayweather/pacquiao).
People all seem to forget Manny actually looked better than he has for a while and better than he ever has against Marquez in the fight before the KO.
I disagree. I think Marquez made pac look better than he was. Marquez looked slow and off balance. It was clear Marquez trained for power and that was enough to put pac to sleep but that was the worst Marquez I've seen in a while.

More technical? I don't think so. He's more patient, lacks true speed to match mayweather, has huge stamina issues and has also not faced much serious opposition besides trout and old Mosley (who he couldn't knock down but Pacquaio could).
I'd honestly say he's less of a threat because if Canelo can't go for 12 rounds 24/7 Mayweather will dodge and glide to an easy unanimous decision. Also, trying body shots on Mayweather I don't think is going to do much, Mayweather is one of the few fighters today among others that are gifted with very high stamina and durability, he will still be able to do what he always does, and I can bet his form of defense will nullify Canelos body shots mostly.
Lastly, I don't even like Mayweather, but I'm pretty sure Canelo isn't going to win. Just my opinion anyway.
This will happen eventually
Just like Holyfield-tyson, holyfield-lewis, and tyson-lewis
Those are the fights that should have happened but because of boxing politics we had to wait years for them
Manny's most recent net worth put him at 85 million.
$2 million – against Erik Morales (January 2006)
$1 million – against Oscar Larios (July 2006)
$3 million – against Erik Morales (November 2006)
$2 million – against Jorge Solis (April 2007)
$2 million – against Marco Antonio Barrera (October 2007)
$11 million – against Oscar De la Hoya (December 2008)
$12 million – against Ricky Hatton (May 2009)
$35 million – against Miguel Cotto (November 2009)
$35 million – against Antonio Margarito (November 2010)
$20 million – against Shane Mosely (May 2011)
$20 million – against Juan Manuel Marquez (November 2011)
$20 million – against Timothy Bradley (June 2012)
$30 million – against Juan Manuel Marquez (December 2012)
Poor guy. I feel sorry for him. Who's up for opening up a charity fund in his name?

Mayweather vs Pacman can still be made if Pac comes back and beats Rios (which I think he will) and then Mayweather beats Canelo convincingly.
It could take place but IMO will be a lot like Hagler vs Leonard when it happened about 7 years too late.
