I see GBP giving him a soft touch this fall as Ortiz-floyd 2 could be in the works after the Canelo fight... The controversy in the first one will help sell the rematch and with ortiz being on dancing with the stars, and if he can look good in one fight ala the berto fight, he could land floyd in may 2014,, Wouldnt shock me at all I think this was a possibility before the josesito fight. They hyped up Ortiz being butt-hurt over how he lost against Floyd, and he was supposed to take that anger and frustration out on lopez. . . . but got the broken jaw and stopped the fight. I don't think a Mayweather rematch is in the books unless Mayweather loses to canelo. If anything, I think an Ortiz vs Canelo fight is more likely.

He'll be fed to Maidana if Marcos pulls a win this weekend. It'll be billed as a rematch, but it'll mostly be an opportunity to solidify Maidana as a draw at 147. Maybe he'll be matched up with Cotto so Miguel can get another big payday before he finally retires. But I feel Ortiz' moment is gone, and now he's just a name and a game fighter with skillz and some pop in his punch.

Ortiz vs Cotto at 147 or 154 is my first choice 2. ortiz vs guerrero 3. Ortiz vs maidana 2 4. Ortiz vs alexander/khan 5. Ortiz vs thurman/chavez

I actually wouldn't bet on him beating Khan. He and Guerrero will probably get made eventually but I think his next fight will be a rematch with Berto or Lopez.

Whoever he fights it will be action packed I can him fight either the Ghost or Matthyse as his 1st 147 fight or Broner if he stays at 147

IMO, Ortiz career is on it's last limb right now. He's been out of boxing for a long time, coming off a seriously broken jaw and seems to be interested in something else. I think Ortiz is going to get fed to some big named fighter like Cotto or Guerrero and if he loses, he's done. It's do or die for him right now.

I like Ortiz taking on the Khan challenge overseas. Send him flat on ass for the umpteenth time.

Ortiz has tons of great action fights he can be involved in, Garcia, Marquez, Zavek, Pacquaio, Maidana 2, Bam Bam Rios, Cotto, Lopez 2, Provodnikov, Guerrero, Bradley, Broner ect ect but if i was him id be looking at Khan who still has some value to his name and is highly beatable for a banger like Vic. He could knock Amir out in stunning fashion and get his career kick started again

If Cotto can make welter then that's a good fight.
