Went with 140 rather than 47 because Hearns would have had a massive height and reach advantage which would be unfair.
Can anyone at 140 outbox Floyd though in your eyes?
The Hearns excuse is silly. (See Williams-Quintana I)
Williams - Face first slugger
Hearns - Uses height and reach, great jab and straight.. top notch boxer
If you're taking 'outbox' in the purist sense, Sweet Pea outboxes him. I think Aaron Pryor and Duran (yes, I know he never fought at 140, but then again Floyd almost didn't either) would have 'mauled' him, and JCC I give a 50-50 shot at doing the same. But in terms of pure outfighting as opposed to infighting, I'd only back Pernell over Floyd.
Winky can't beat Floyd. His feet are stuck in mud. You can't beat a guy who is willing to throw 10 jabs a round, land 5 or 6 and keep moving, whilst you throw 20 and land 2. Floyd would be on his bike all night, he wouldn't let Winky get anywhere near him.
Winky has a longer reach than Floyd. Its not so easy to land clean on winky, even floyd will have problems. If Zab, DLH and Cotto all won their rounds with the jab, you think Winky who is superior and bigger than all of them cant win rounds with his jab? GTFO
Broner would wreck floyd at 140.
:haha: :haha:
Broner couldn't even beat Floyd now.
23 year old Floyd would have ripped 23 year old Broner's head off. At that age Floyd had already dismantled Hernandez, the top fighter in the division. To this day Broner's best win is a gift decision against a small, slow, aging, light punching De Leon.

Only guy I see with any chance, and I put it at 30/70 for may weather. There are a few real fast guys in history that I think could beat Floyd by overwhelming him or outworking him, but not outboxing him. If Zab judah would of had a good cardio, he would of beaten Floyd bad. he was up 5-1 really. Then he faded, and May punished him.
You really have to be moron to have Floyd 70-30 over Pernell.
Hearns, Winky and SRL beat him.
140 and below, I dont see any guarantees.

Broner would wreck floyd at 140. Too big, strong, Floyd's defense is way better but broner will catch him and eventually walk him down. Floyd's a legend and i respect him but this guy briner is just took good. Look at broner at 23 compared to lil floyd, broner about to he a three time world champ. Never been done in history. Broner is just too good it's unfair. I just hope matthysse doesn't run from broner when he gets to 140. But anyways broner and also zab maybe.
Delusional on many many levels.
Old ass coming out of retirement Oscar got a split decision against Floyd, Prime De la Hoya at 140 beats him handily.
officially it was a split, unofficially it was a 9-3 UD. At 54 the advantages were in Oscar's favour. Floyd slows down, his power had less effect. At 140 Floyd is faster, better reflexes etc, but Oscar is also much better version too. An interesting matchup.

That was Floyd's physical prime, too good of an athlete, too good of a combination puncher, jus' too fast on his feet. Broner hasn't even faced a mover so how can anyone rate him now?
I like Broner, I think he's the real deal but I'm not gonna hype someone based on assumptions, I want to see what he can do. I feel that Broner cleans house at 140, I really do, but I can also be dead wrong as he hasn't proven much.

No boxer at any weight beats Floyd. Period.
Broner has the best chance, but him and Floyd are like brothers so Adrien will wait until the 5 fight contract is done, then he will take the P4P #1 spot.
Can we get this post deleted?
I was enjoying this thread very much till this garbage popped up.

No he won't. Broner isn't that good. He THINKS he's as good as Floyd.... he's wrong. I think Ward will take that top spot if Floyd holds onto it.

lol.......too funny.

That's according to the score cards... did YOU score it that close? I had Floyd up by about 4 rounds. Oscar landed NOTHING of note pretty much the entire fight. Floyd was not once in trouble in that fight.
