How many instances can you name? Off the top of my head :
-Junior Witter losing to Timothy Bradley
-Nigel Benn losing to Thulani Malinga
-Robin Reid losing to Thulani Malinga
-Richie Woodhall losing to Markus Beyer
-Jim Watt losing to Alexis Arguello
That's all I can think of.
Sergio Martinez also had a few fights here and got a decision against Richard Williams in a fight in which he got knocked down if I remember correctly. Kinda ironic considering what happened to Murray in Argentina...
Martinez absolutely schooled Williams in that fight though. There was no possible way they could have given it to Williams. Had they done so it would have been the robbery of the millenium.
A few more to add. Im certain theres lots more. Just a case of finding them.
Robin Ried lost to Branco
Cooper lost to Johnson , Rischer, Bugner
Woods lost to Johnson
Rhodes lost to Grant
Witter lost to Judah
Thaxton lost to Mazaache
Medina beat Harrison
Francis lost to Greenberg
Molitor beat Booth
Inkin beat McKenzie
Winky Wright fought a few fights over in the UK. He got a decision over Ensley Bingham

Has anybody ever considered that the reason UK fighters normally get the decision in the UK is that when they are fighting in the UK it is normally a fight to either build that fighters career or is a homecoming fight, meaning that they are usually softer opponents. Non UK fighters who are the top guys have the clout to make the fight in the USA or wherever. It is very rare two of the best (one British the other non British) fight in the UK, it just doesn't happen often.
Gonzales was ahead against Burns until he quit.
Didn't win by decision though.
Given the circumstances, it's a very easy assumption to make.
Just what is the data for, exactly?
I was comparing the likelihood of the local guy losing by decision from country to country, and when it came to the UK I realized that I didn't have many examples, especially in recent years
A lot of people felt Calzaghe lost against Reid yet Cal got it
Both fighters are from the UK.
Because it seems to me that it happens very rarely so I want to know whether or not my impression is wrong.
I'm not implying anything, I'm just asking for data. I'm neither american nor european.

Why the **** would you want to know that...jesus christ.

Probably trying to imply the UK is famous for robberies, no doubt using it as ammunition to suggest that Ward shouldn't come to the UK to fight Froch.
