I am considering going to the fights in September, does anyone know when they will go on sale ? And also for those who have gone to a Floyd fight what was your experience ? I plan on flying out from Canada so I want to get some decent seats, definitely not VIP, any input would be helpful. Thank you
I came across a deal for flights and hotel accomodation for two, it came to $1200. The hotel was circus circus which i heard is 2km from MGM grand. This was a day after the fight was announced hopefully the price doesnt go up.
circus circus is a very long walk to mgm. it's not very good either. check into harrah's or the quad. shouldn't be too much more. you can catch the monorail at either. it'll drop you right off at mgm.
OT: anybody seen any good deals on hotels? normally my total rewards gets me good prices but their high right now.

Just read though they're going to look into the pricing and such next week...
Just keep pealed for a news piece, if you want me to keep an eye out for you then i'm more than happy to, just pm me.
I feel really bad for you guys...
Over here ringside tickets are available to everyone for every fight.
Sounds like the casinos and such just screw everyone over with some crazy prices!!! I've been to a few fights over here and actually thinking about it the most i've paid so far for a fight ticket was around $500 at the Thomas and Mack for Zaghe Hopkins.
If they reduced the prices surely they'd do much much better sales, when i saw the sales for Matthyse vs Peterson i was amazed!
True. Once you've been to a couple you've been to them all.
I'm thinking about making a play on the Marquez/Bradley fight in October though. I think you'll get a better fight, better seats at a better price and still a major event with a good turnout and a lot of good fight week **** going on.
This right here. It wasn't possible to get cheap seats to Mayweather-Guerrero the day they went on sale, I tried seconds after they went on sale and they were all gone. They were marked down really cheap because they didn't sell the days before the fight, but it was too late then. They won't have that problem with this fight, it'll sell out fast.
I went to Chavez Jr.-Martinez at the Thomas & Mack Center and got $200 dollar seats, they were pretty nice and got them a week or so after they went on sale. If I did go to Mayweather-Canelo, it would be to watch on closed circuit.
Thanks for your replies, so if I was to go through ticketmaster I should get some decent prices the first half hour ?
No, the Guerrero fight sold out of $300, $200 seats in the first 2-3 minutes... The $600+ never sold out.. But this is Canelo vs Mayweaatherr.. Expect into sell out ought away... I only got $300 seats because I was at my computer at 10am
I will just go to Vegas for fight week and watch it in a closed circuit casino. If you have the $$$ go for it but I found out at the end of the day a fight is a fight whether it be $10-$22k once it's over,it's over. Those who bought tickets for Mayweather/Guerrero really got ripped off that fight was boring.

exactly. it's cool just to be there. mgm isn't that big. there's really not a bad seat. that's why I can't recommend anybody spending a grand or more on a ticket. there could be a cut in the 1st round and the fight get stopped and you'd be out all that money. just go to the weigh in, hang around the lobby and meet a lot of fighters, and get the cheapest ticket you can find and it'll be worth the trip.

22 thousand dollars!?!?!?!
That's from 3rd party sites like StubHub.
On Ticketmaster the highest ticket is $2,000 but that won't get you ringside because those don't go on sale to the public.
Would love to be at the fight but might not be able to be there. Have a wedding to go to and another vacation scheduled before the end of summer.
I may just go to Vegas anyway just to be there, hopefully catch the weigh in live..
i'll be in america anyway on holiday, and fly in to vegas on the 14th. and i would love to see a mayweather fight, i am saving for the trip but i wont be able to save enough for the good tickets. might have to settle for the back..

I heard if you buy the 22k dollar seats Oscar will provide the blow and hookers as a package deal. And if you're into fishnets he will throw those in there too. The only thing he asks of you is that you pls don't choke them.

looking at the layout of the arena, i would assume its quite pointless going further than row D. unless you love the atmosphere as much as the fight. different websites have slightly different prices but row D is about $2000, and row C about $ 3200. whether this is right or not im not 100% sure but i wouln't be surprised
i was just about to ask about this. i have seen on a website that the cheapest tickets are $579, ringside, where the celebs are, are about $22000.
what i want to know is what is the furthest row you can sit in and still be able to see the fight well. im guessing at the back you cant see much. if anyone knows about the layout of the mgm and has been there, their experience i would like to hear about it, thanks.
sorry for hijacking, but it is the same topic
no seat in the mgm is bad. I sat second to last row for pacquiao/Bradley and saw everything fine. that was the cheapest ticket (either $150 or $200 I forgot). I sat in the 2nd to cheapest section for pac/marquez 3 which was $400. the difference was really nothing. it was like 5 rows closer. not worth it.
basically, if you got money, go all out. if you don't, go as cheap as you can. IMO.
Mayweather De La Hoya prices:
Quote:
$2,000, $1,500, $1,000, $750, $350, and $150
I expect the same
I doubt it man.
