Its very hard having to read these Canelo Vs Floyd threads with weirdo trolls who post garbage and have an axe to grind. Its sickening to see how the same couple of guys are obsessed.
Any positive normal fans out there simply looking forwards to the fight?
The catchweight crap isn't going to make a difference, nor do I care about it, I don't know who is going to win, but that adds to the excitement.
Very pleased this fight is happening, all we need now is Lucas Vs Garcia and we will have a epic year of boxing.
If Canelo is as good as we are led to believe a measly 2 lbs will not make a difference, he will rehydrate back to his natural weight and have his weight advantage on fight night
In the real world nobody cares about the CW, millions upon millions of fans with no axe to grind will be tuning in to the fight
I think A LOT of the people who make a big deal of the CW are worried Floyd might win, which they don't want to see. Many thought Floyd would not take this fight, but now that box has been crossed off, they are obsessed with the CW thing, totally writing Canelo off because of 2lbs.

I am terribly pumped for this fight!
:boxing:
yeah i'm excited. i wish the fight was at 154 but in the end its like odh/bhop-2 champs in the sam division unifying titles at a CW in the biggest fight of the year.
Happy the fight is made but how would anyone know that the weight wouldn't affect Canelo? Whilst am happy the fight got made I can't help but call out the hypocrisy.
You wont know until the fight is well on the way , with a 154 frame I dont think you will even see it , but if its is weaking him it will show in the fight if Floyd can push Canelo around , do you think Cotto and Margo were weight drained by Manny ?

how can you not be excited? i love zombie movies and this is gonna be the best zombie movie ever starring floyd "zombie hunter" mayweather and saul "weight drained zombie" canelo.
Good job TS, I'm very excited about this fight.
I counted atleast 6-7 Psycho Trolls in the comments and 4 of them tried to tone it down a bit. No need to say names everyone know who's who. But any how I'm a boxing fan first and foremost so I'm excited about just about all fights.
We need more threads like this to keep the fanboys away.
Look, I'm on record saying that the fight should be at 154 where both men are champion, but a catch weight fight is better than no fight at all. At least there are no rehydration clauses to worry about. Casual fans are excited about this fight, so this would put boxing back on the map like the Floyd-Oscar fight did.
Was Cotto and Margo weight drained , I cant find a single Pac fan that will answer that lol .
Of course you won't. lol These are kids that don't know sh*t about boxing and aren't man enough to own up to anything. :buttkick:
I'm really happy the fight was made and have no real problems with the cw, but I just don't think Canelo is ready. Come fight night it'll probably be the most excited I've ever been for a Mayweather fight. I think the first 6 rounds will be fun, but I see Canelo having limited luck while falling behind in the latter rounds. I'd love to eat those words though. I almost feel bad for Mayweather, because even the best fighter around is still a step below him.
It's a great fight, the whole catch weight thing is pretty iffy though.
If Leonard Ellerbe was right about catch weights: "He was a dead man walking when he went into the ring," Ellerbe said. "The casual fan doesn't know what difference one or two pounds can make when a fighter is already down to weight. Fighters know."
Ellerbe does have a point, I don't think it's worth shelling out $80 for a drained "dead man walking" Canelo. It's still a great fight but this one goes on the stream like the last few.
you been digging up quotes like hell since the fight was announced I gotta give you props man hardwork-dedication
