Danish newspaper ekstrabladet had an article today called "possible opponents for Kessler". Kessler is quoted that he would like to fight Martinez at MW, he likes his style and think they would make a very entertaining fight.
Im sure we havent seen the last of the viking warrior:boxing:

The quote Ekstrabladet.dk is referring to, is a couple of years old. Kessler has not yet commented on the future.
TS needs to do his homework properly.
I think he could make the weight without pulling a Dawson. I also think he'd beat Martinez overrated ass.
Problem: The quote Ekstrabladet.dk is referring to, is a couple of years old. Kessler has not yet commented on the future.
We were just talking about this possible match the other day. Would be interesting if it happened.
If Kessler could somehow make 160 and be okay, which is crazy and doesn't sound at all possible, he'd f*ck Martinez up. We're not talking Darren Barker, Matthew Macklin, or Martin Murray here.

The phrase 'he has not one ounce of excess fat on the body' would be appropriate to tack on Mikkel Kessler.
Just look at the pictures of the absurd trained Viking warrior from Saturday night's mega fight against Carl Froch in London.
Still, Kessler drop even further in weight, which will open the possibility of new and attractive opponents for the Danish boxer.
It revealed Kessler in an interview with Ekstra Bladet just almost a month ago.
- Do I have a natural super middleweight (maximum 76.2 kg, ed.)? Maybe. But it's about how I train and eat. There is nothing that prevents me from going further down in weight so I can box against the watchmen said Mikkel Kessler on that occasion and even pointed to a desire opponent.
- Sergio Martinez! Him I might like to meet. He has a bold style, we'd be good to each other in the ring and the fight would appeal to both live spectators and television viewers, ruled Kessler about a potential meeting with the tremendously entertaining and just as boxes in terms of excellent Argentine.
EXTRA brings today the names of eight boxers who are likely on the list of potential Kessler opponents if otherwise there are more games left in the Viking tank.
It is the obvious names like Andre Ward and Carl Froch - and it is extremely exciting middleweight names mentioned Martínez, as Julio César Chávez and knockoutkongen Gennady Golovkin
=======================
It would depend on how getting down to 160 would effect his performance. He should know his own body after all these years as a pro. If he thinks he will be strong at 160 maybe he will be. Dawson made the same promise but after the Ward fight he said he was drained. If Kessler can fight as well at 160 as he fought last Saturday I think he would ko the Martinez I saw last time out. Maybe Martinez had a bad night but old age seem to show last fight and I thought the Englishman beat him.
Martinez wouldn't go to Denmark and Kessler has lost 3 straight away from home. This fight would be impossible to make.
lol sounds like someone doesn't want to see Kessler KO Martinez.
I think he could make the weight without pulling a Dawson. I also think he'd beat Martinez overrated ass.

Bat i really like you bro but you are talking out of your arse and you know it
Sexy Sergio is in no way over rated. He took on good comp and boxed circles around them and stopped them too, dont act like he is Joe Calsappy now that is over rated no doubt!
I doubt the viking warrior could make 160. If he did I would favor him over Serg. Kessler had great body shots against Froch and he has the power to KO serg. Serg does get tagged too. IF he is willing and Martinez doestn fight him then its a blatant duck and Im a huge MArtinez fan! met him several times and he lives down the street from me
Yes id like to see how Sergio does against long established stars like Kessler and Froch if they can make weight of course comfortably.
But what makes kessler think Sergio would just say yes at the drop of a hat? Sergio said hed quite like to go to 154 to fight Floyd and the outcome is still pending with Sergio waiting in the queue still to fight floyd.
Kessler would win if he could make the weight comfortably. He is too big and skilled, they are both over the hill but this is too much of a task for Martinez, he is a small guy at MW, these are not odds he could overcome. Kessler would control him with his jab and in and out movement. Normally Martinez is the puncher, but there is no way he is taking Kessler's power for 12 rounds.
Kessler looked less ripped against Froch this time than he has in any fight I've seen him in recently. I think he would have a very hard night out against Martinez, especially if Martinez gets his knee right.
When Sergio heals up this would be a good fight. Martinez takes it, I would hope Kessler doesn't get drained from the weight, if he does things might get messy
Well typically when people talk about being big for a weight class, they mean rehydration. Froch is one of the few fighters in the sport who doesn't rehydrate much.
I agree, Froch is an exception and that gives him an advantage
