In regards to Froch i hear quite a few people saying Ward has no options but Froch does. I am wondering what options those are. Besides a Kessler rematch, i dont see many. When i say options, i mean big money options. Carl can stay in the UK and fight bums and make decent money every time i guess just as ward can probably fight bums on hbo for a mil a fight but i still feel he could make the most money vs Ward and vice versa. So the question still remains, What are carls options?
Kessler - Sure, we can see this again but i doubt it would be next
Hopkins - This fight is not happening for the same reason the ward fight aint happening. Bernard is a boring fighter and i guess carl does not fight boring fighters.
What other big money fights are out there? Honestly i want to know cause i dont see it.
So money over legacy is ok for froch fans im reading. Thats cool hes 35 cant afford to lose like tht to ward again. Let him make his money ad wards big fight will present itself.
Kessler 3
Hopkins
Groves
Cleverley
All huge fights in the UK
I call bull****. If a fight with Groves or Cleverley would be HUGE in the UK, then those fights would be in the process of being made right now. They won't be made because they are not "huge".
Immediate rematch with Kessler? What a joke.
Boxing is all about the intangibles.
Add that ''good'' power, ''ok'' jab and ''good'' chin, plus other intangibles, and you come up with a tremendous fighter. A fighter who has consecutively faced a murderers row of fighters in the hottest division in the sport - and he's won the vast majority of those fights :boxing:
I disagree, it's about skills and then intangibles but I'm not going to go back and forth with you about that because it's just our opinion. You're more of a intangible guy and I'm more of a talent and skill guy. We probably have a completely different list when it comes to favorite fighters because of this. I will just agree to disagree.
You wouldn't but many people would say GGG is too small and B Hop is too old.
Froch has good power, a ok jab and a good chin but very mediocre skills overall.

I certainly wouldn't belittle Ward if he fought Bernard or GGG.
As for your closing line. Ward is light years ahead of Froch technically. But to insinuate that a three time world champion in arguably the most stacked division in the sport is ''mediocre'', then you're off your tits son.

A sellout crowd in the UK is far bigger than a sellout crowd in California.
That doesn't mean they make more money. Vegas fights make more than cowboy stadium fights. More seats doesn't always = More $
Froch has more options no matter which way you look at it, people want to see him fight and whether it's a Kessler 3rd fight or a pascal or Arthur Abraham rematch people would watch him and interest for those fights goes up. I don't see Ward gathering that same level of interest, not sure why his profile is more Mosley and not Mayweather but it is what it is.
This shows the difference and double standard between Ward and Froch. If Ward would fight any of these fighters he would be critized for it. But they are all viable opponents for Froch lol. This just shows that Ward is too good for his own good. Ward can fight anyone of those fighters and sellout in California just like Froch will sellout at home. The difference is Ward is much better than Froch so those fights will be better than if ward fought those fighters lol
Again so called boxing fans appreciating medicore boxers over true talent smh

Cleverly, Hopkins, Pascal
Stieglitz, Groves, Kessler, DeGale, Bika-Periban winner
Golovkin, Murray

Read between the lines pal. I don't expect to have to definitively explain everything. Everything is an option but why would Ward fight a lesser money fight for no reason? Therefore, in essence, it's not an option.
There are fights that would be just as big if not bigger for Froch - Hopkins for example. Froch just fought Kessler and got paid a lot more than he did fighting Ward. He could fight Kessler again and get more than fighting Ward. There's PPV in the UK and Denmark of which Froch would get a cut. Ward is on regular HBO
(In Bold) For the same reason carl will. They both make the most fighting each other so why would carl want to fight a lesser money fight for no reason.
So who is carl going to fight next. You think hes fighting hopkins. Yeah right, carl just got off tv saying ward was boring and thats why he doesnt fancy a fight with him but hes going to fight hopkins who at this point is even more boring than ward.
Is he going to fight kessler next? I doubt it. We just saw that fight and it was not the kind of a fight that deserves an immediate rematch.
But at the end of the day what we are currently talking about does not matter. Ward is the #1, if carl wants to try and be # then the fight will happen if not he can go on being "The King Of Second Place"
Kessler - not happening next.
Hopkins - not happening
Pascal - not happening
Golovkin - not happening
Stieglitz - not a big fight
Groves and Degale- Decent money in UK but neither are ready
Bika-Periban - means nothing
murray - means nothing.
You give really good through explanations. It's almost as if you are in the fighters camp yourself!
Hopkins has admitted he will duck Ward.
As for the rest, they are not options for Ward in the same way. A Ward-Groves fight, for example, will generate no interest whereas they could make Froch-Groves a huge fight in the UK.
How do you not understand that?
So now there are not options in "the same way" but a few posts ago they werent options at all.
I think you misunderstand. There is no name you mentioned that will bring froch more money and notoriety than ward and that is the point. They both make the most fighting each other and thats that.
Kessler 3
Hopkins
Groves
Cleverley
All huge fights in the UK
^^^^this
Steiglitz has a title too, not sure if a 3rd Abraham fight will happen
if not, or if it does and Steiglitz wins, Froch can fight him
he can still beat up on Bute again if Bute wants it too
Pffffffffffffffffttt these UK match ups ****ing suck. Degale? HAHAHAHAHAH laughable. Groves? Ehhh the guy is no where near ready for a fighter the class of Froch and Cleverly is the biggest fraud of champion I have seen in quite some time.
Martin Murray Vs Carl Froch is a money fight in the UK. It could be very close too. I can even see Murray sneaking the W if Froch fought bad and Murray performed like he did against Martinez.
Thank you.
