Think about it.
The guy could be fighting today.
Mexican warrior, die in the ring? For what? For a career to end short, lol.
You guys confuse his stupidity for warriorness.
You know what is warriorness? Yes the guy will probably stay there no matter how hard you beat him but in the Pacquiao fight he was no where competitive. Why continue fighting? He's a warrior, LOL? His corner is idiotic as well. We get the guys has balls of steel but letting him go out there to get pummeled round after round where he's literally a punching bag for Pacquiao. Not even in the last 2-3 rounds he even came close to be considered competitive rounds againest Pacquiao. Why keep him in there? And for his own dumb pride and his stupid corner he was forced to retire and probably have the second fight of Cotto dramatically changed cause of his eye.
Now the guy can't even fight cause of his eye and for what? To be a warrior one night? When he could easily been fighting today and not even be considered a quitter or coward seeing as he literally had no chance againest Pacquiao that day? **** we could have been seeing a Cotto trilogy or fights with Lara, Canelo, Angulo Kirkland etc and he'd still making decent buck.
So flame me all you want especially these Margarito **** but your boy and his team fcked him over for "pride" and die in the ring attitude. It was stupid. No matter how you try to spin it as a "warrior" A warrior takes punishment but dishes it back and is at least competitive. A idiot is a punching bag taking punishment and losing rounds while the other guy is on cruise control and call it "i'll die in the ring" when he was doing **** todo so.
I don't know how many times I will have to read someone claiming that Margarito, who was losing the Cotto rematch like 8 rounds to 1 and had not come close to doing the damage he did in the first fight, was on the verge of winning by knockout and that Cotto was so tired that he was about to collapse or get stopped.
To me, that is making a lot of assumptions based on previous results. Just because Cotto was dead tired in the first fight does not mean that it was going to happen again. The truth is that Cotto was still winning those late rounds even though they were looking a bit more competitive. I could see Margarito hanging tough those last three rounds but I saw absolutely nothing to believe that Margarito was about to win that fight.
Margarito usually never wins the majority of the rounds to begin with, he either stops you or he lose the decision. Lets be completely honest here Cotto was on his last leg in the rematch, gassed and it was a very highly possibility he would have got stopped in the championship rounds.
Why I say this, is because Cotto was obviously getting hurt and was gassed mean while nothing was wrong on Margarito side, Margarito wasnt tired, wasnt hurt once, only thing happened to him is what was expected to happen was the eye would swell up.
Cotto took the same damage as he took in the first bout.

So to say because a handicap Margarito lost the Rematch proves he cheating in the first fight cause he couldent pull off the W is beyond idiotic.

Margarito yelling at cotto, I am handicap why you running dont you want to get your revenge on me, WHY RUN NINA?
We all know why.
Margarito was leading on the cards at the time of the stoppage in the first fight.
Cotto was going to win the decision in the rematch if they let Margarito out for the other rounds, he more than enough to last the distance.
would have liked to see him fight today against guys like Canelo, but he also did redeam himself from taking that beating. What Pac did to him that day only pac could have done. He softened him up for Cotto to pummel later.
hold up a minute. you're going to say that a former champion with a 17 year career didn't fight long enough? 17 years. think about that for just a minute. dude started as a teen in the pro ranks and fought for 17 years.
not too shabby if you ask me.

Margarito, what he has is what seperates the men from the boys, modern day Gladiator. Alot of these other guys don't have any heart.
I know you guys wouldn't understand.
I doubt Margarito cares about what we think here on NSB, all he cares about is that he didn't go out like a coward.
(in b4 the false "cheater" accusations)
So your offers to suck the farts from his ass are all for nothing then.

lmaoooooooooooooooooo
Ok. So I was at the hearing where Margarito/Capetillo had their licenses revoked. I got to see and touch the hand wrap insert as well as get a demonstration of how the hands were wrapped and the insert placed inside. There used to be a report on Maxboxing by me on the hearing but we changed servers and the story has been lost. I have since found it in my emails so if you want it PM me.
The handwraps were basically made to hide the inserts. The insert was about the size of a long business card. And about as stiff. It was not the rock or steel people make it out to be. It looked like a dirty, folded or ironed piece of old gauze. The knuckle pad was wrapped around it so unless you really got in there to inspect it, you wouldn't see it.

Boxing Illustrated conducted an experiment to test whether it was possible to use plaster of paris successfully under fighting conditions. The results were reported in the May 1964 issue of BI, pp 20-24, 66. Hugh Benbow and Perry Payne (manager and trainer of Cleveland Williams) used plaster of paris on Cleveland's hands and reenacted what Kearns said occurred in Dempsey's dressing room. After 35 minutes of toasting to reenact the 114-degree heat of Toledo that day, Cleveland Williams hit the heavy bag five times. Benbow examined the wraps and found that the plaster had cracked and crumbled. "This stuff." said Cleve, "wouldn't do anybody any good."
The Boxing Illustrated test proved beyond a reasonable doubt that the plaster of paris would not have held up after the first punch, it would have crumbled and left chunks in his mitts and every punch thereafter would have been quite painful and there is little doubt he would have broken his hands. The inventor of the product issued a statement as to the impossibility of using plaster of paris without breaking all the bones in the hands.

Wouldn't hurt his case, but didn't hurt Cotto like he did before. Hmmm.. Barely made it out? He won every round, go with "He was totally shot" defense, it works better.

I'm not actually sure mate. Maybe it has to do with some type of bias or agenda that the accuser may be pursuing. I mean, why on earth would you use a confirmed drug cheat in order to bash another alleged cheater? It doesn't make any sense. But the fact of the matter is this, if a confirmed career steroid abuser such as Mosley gets in, there's no doubt WARGODITO gets in. Let's not forget, a lot of people believe Cotto should get in as well. How can your own father not make it into the HOF but your inferior son who accomplished less does? Something to ponder.

Cotto put up more of a fight against MP and actually beat a good version of Molsey. An inferior SSM skull ****ed Margo. Also Cotto isn't a cheater as far as we know.
History will look on Cotto more favourably than Margo who won't even make the HOF.
So if Margarito would have won the rematch, then he wouldent be a cheater.
Cotto barley made it out the fight in the rematch, had Margarito eye not be dead the vast majority thinks cotto would have got stopped in the rematch :lol1:

Feelings? The vast majority thinks he cheated to win the first one and he got stopped in the rematch :lol1: But yeah no bro he winning doe.
