Technically I believe Rigo is more skilled then Ward, though he only beat one name. He can't be in the top 5 p4p, he needs more wins against more names.
I disagree abut Rigo being more skilled than Ward. He's brilliant, but can he fight any fight the way Ward can? Because Ward has fought every way and looked brilliant, inside, outside, rough, finesse, doesn't matter. Maybe Rigo is plenty capable of the same, but I haven't seen it.
He absolutely can be top 5 p4p, because he belongs. The Donaire win was enough to where you can't list the best fighters in the world and not say Rigondeaux is top 3 or 4. Especially with the hectic movement throughout the rest of the list.
the majority of boxing "fans" dont really know anything about the sport and cant recognize or appreciate a good fighter when they see one. its all about wars and knockouts with these ppl and the technical side of boxing it gets overlooked.

He has very few fights, only one name, and was dropped in that fight and others. Plus, outside of Mares there aren't many people he can fight to build any kind of legacy. And on top of that he's older, so he won't have much time to do it before his reflexes go. He will always be a "what could have been" kind of fighter.
What does any of that have to do with his P4P ranking?
And the 'only one name' thing doesn't mean jack shit when a guy gives a performance like Rigo did.

I think hes as if not more skilled technically and has the best win but they have longevity in their favour. Funny though how they'll have a clown like Broner ranked infront of Rigondeaux.
I don't think you can find one honest person who would say that Broner is better than Rigondeaux.
The Ring magazine doesn't even have him top 10 p4p, what a ****ing joke.
That's just Chuck Giampa's list. No one takes it seriously. Fischer and Rosenthal both have Rigo in their top 10 - http://ring tv .craveonline.com/blog/178795-the-editors-top-10-fischer-and-rosenthals-pound-for-pound-lists
I caught a lot of hell for my post about Donaire/Rigondeaux, but I told the truth. Rigondeaux's boring and somewhat cowardly methods don't appeal to the fans and don't truly earn him recognition.
If Rigondeaux wants respect, he's going to need to start throwing more punches and actually trying to get his opponent's out of there.
Fans can live with fights that go the distance as long as a reasonable effort is made by the fighters to knock each other out.
Throwing 30 punches a round and running around the ring has no appeal at all to the typical fan.
Like it or not, people, this is the entertainment business. Some people need to stop kidding themselves otherwise.
real talk man.... yet some boxing fans will say this is real boxing. I hate how some who claim to be boxing fans only think the defensive "boring" fighters are boxing and claim that the offensive fighters like pacquiao are not good boxers. Boxing isn't just about defense, yet its not just about offense there are different kind of boxers and rigondeaux is a great boxer but he falls under the category of the least appealing to watch
He really said this? That not a smart move
He is 32 years old, he already grew up to the limit, WTF do you want? with 7 fights he was the interim Champ, one fight later he won the Belt and in his 12 took the best fighter and P4P #4 or 5 to school, tell me how many fighters has done and accomplished what he has in 12 fights?
Whats ridiculous is that they put Donaire in the top 5 P4P list from out of no where when he stopped Montiel but can't even put Rigo in the top 10 for schooling Donaire.
I think if it wasn't for the fact that I've followed him since he was an amateur id also have some second thoughts about saying a guy with 12 fights should be top 10 p4p. BUT then id realize the fact that hes only got 12 pro fights means he can still improve his pro game and it shouldn't be a detriment hes few fights should in fact add more to his credit, that he beat the Undisputed Kingpin fighter of the year and didn't just coast to 30 garbage wins like other guys have done, but went into the pits of hell and faced the fire then the devil himself and came out victorious i think people don't give him enough credit for that.
I dont think he should be #1 p4p but when you see the ring etc not even have him in the top 10 but still have Donaire there makes you think there is some serious hate going starting with he's own promoter who hates he slaughtered he's future cash cow.
In terms of technical ability,he is one of the best along with Floyd and Ward imo,all 3 encapture the sweet science perfectly, for those who don't see it,its their loss

ya he is good and ya the win over donaire was impressive but one good win on your resume doesn't put you in the p4p sorry bro... 12-0 or 13-0 whaetever he is with 1 solid win is a ****ty resume end of story. Couple more fights he should be in p4p but not now
