K-9 might actually stop Cotto

Although not guaranteed as yet, this fight looks like a good possibility. It's currently set on boxrec but that doesn't guarantee it will happen. There is still a chance Canelo vs Cotto might be made instead. But who wins Cotto vs Bundrage if it does happen? Pointless fight IMO. Bundrage has the kind of power to trouble Cotto in a serious way. I'd expect Miguel to outskill him however.

thought K9 was done after the Smith fight this is a fight Cotto can win, though it will likely suck favor Cotto on points in a displeasing but clear decision both these guys are at the end of the line, so it's viable

Tune up fight plus a win that he needs before fighting Canelo.Cotto may need a tune up to get rid of ring rust but he does not need a win to land the Canelo fight. He can have that fight just for being Cotto. The only thing that makes me think Canelo won't be fighting Cotto is that Canelo wants to fight on the 14 of September somewhere out west. Canelo may not take a fight on September 28th in New York.
