I voted GGG. wins by KO because Canelo does not run. He would stand his ground with GGG. and anyone that does that gets KOed. I would pick Canelo to beat anyone at 154 or any welterweight that comes up to 154 to fight him. I would pick GGG. to KO any 160 pounder or any lighter fighter that comes up to 160 to fight him.
As of right now I favor GGG by late stoppage but Canelo has great potential and once he develops into the fighter I think he can become, the fight would be pretty much a toss up.
For what it's worth they sparred and Golovkin got the best of Canelo and hurt him.
GGG also faced great comp in the amateurs.
For what its worth it WAS years ago and GGG said it was the best hes had. I believe he said Canelo was the strongest and most skilled but I could be wrong.
Anyway...They both have questionable tanks, but Canelo showed he could counter punch and seems lighter on his feet, has faster hands and shorter punches.. GGG seems to be a more punishing puncher though, not sure about if hes stronger (though he is a bit bigger i believe so maybe he is..but if they were the same weight, Canelo i built like a tank) but he definitely has more power. As of now Canelo has fought the better fighter in Trout so we'll see after june. I still favor GGG but I dont like how he gets hit flush so often...Rosado who's never been considered a giant puncher seemed to buzz him a few times in their fight so you never know. Canelo has shown to be surprisingly more versatile than I though hed be..
Eff it.. Winner goes to whoever goes to the body first... I've seen both pretty gassed and think that would be the big difference...that or GGGs jab vs Canelos all of a sudden Perceived Pernell Whitaker defense lol.
GGG is stronger, much harder puncher. Canelo won't run from him and that means there is only one way this fight can go. Also I think GGG has an iron chin. He used to fight big boys in amateur and was never dropped.
GGG with quite brutal KO/TKO.

It's hard to make a pick when Golovkin hasn't faced anyone on Canelo's level. I like Golovkin though, he may very well take MW over, great offensive fighter.

GGG overpowers Alvarez
he might not necessarily stop him, but his power wins the day
Alvarez didn't look so hot vs his 1st legit opponent in Trout
GGG is stronger than Trout with much more power
they'd probably meet head on with GGG doing more damage
Alvarez doesn't have the stamina to outbox GGG for the long haul
Depends when it happens, right now Golovkin would stop him.
How long more is Canelo going to make 154 for? By the time he moves up 3G may have gone to 168 for bigger fights.
GGG is too big for Canelo.

They looks about the same size to me. Canelo is shorter, but stockier.
Canelo would be approaching his 47 fight by then and GGG 28th ?
True, GGG didnt get to fight as many cab drivers
IMO, should have went the Canelo path and inflated his numbers
