... Because Bhop is looking for a million dollar fight and is well known to pick the opponents he is sure, he can beat.
He knows he can beat Froch due to obvious stylistic reasons, but he is less sure about Kessler.
Do you guys agree or do you think it's more a question of Bhop simply not interested in fighting Kessler for whatever reason?
I love you Bat, but you're batsh*t insane if you think Hopkins is afraid of anybody, let alone someone like Kessler.
Hopkins turned him down in 2008 because nobody in the general public knew who the f*ck he was.
6 years later and not much has changed.
I'm not saying Hopkins (or any other fighter for that matter) is afraid. I dont know why he turned Kessler down back then and wants Froch now. I know it's not money as implied by you, since Kessler is far and away the biggest cash cow in the division.
He made more money fighting Magee than Ward made fighting Dawson and more fighting Allan Green than Froch got fighting Bute. Reason being PPV in Denmark and a larger crowd in stadiums. I think a lot of yanks fail to comprehend just how big the viking warrior is over here.
Why can't Hopkins just f-off into retirement? Really don't understand why so many people care about this guy.
I hope Froch doesn't give him a pay day. There are bigger and more interesting fights out there for Carl.
I agree actually. It would be Froch-Dirrell all over again.

Hopkins turned down a 4M dollar offer to fight Kessler back in 2008. It's telling that he still today wants none of the dane by singling out the slowish Froch.

If BH could beat Froch i would take my hat off to him seriously. Froch is no Pavlik or even the last opponent BH beat.
Froch is top 10 p4p material. I can only imagine BH wants Froch as he is better than Kessler and is not interested in kessler. Stylistic it may suit BH to fight Froch but that can only help you so much.
You would have to favour Froch against BH, any weight right now. But i take my hat off to BH for chasing Froch, something Floyd dont do. BH is greater than Floyd btw if you didnt already know. BH is fighting and beating guys as good Guerrero even now.
Mind you Kessler is making the same amount of money as Froch.
If you're going to claim this, you better be ready to back it up. I want to see the numbers, please.
Like I said, I'm not all that familiar with fighters' purses (mainly because I'm not the kind of f*g fan who cares about counting another man's money), but I'd be really surprised to see that Kessler was making what Froch was.
Froch has been far more successful in recent years while Mikkel spent a lot of time doing jack sh*t and quitting.
You state it as it's a fact? I'm yet to see Froch making more money than Kessler in any fight.
I'm not that famliar with the financial earnigs of Froch and Kessler for recent fights and how those stack up against one another. What I am familiar with is premium networks and the kinds of fights that they're wiling to pay money for, and the bottom line is that a network will pay more for Hopkins/Froch than for Hopkins/Kessler.
Why? Because Froch has a better record, a more recognizable name (to American audiences, thanks in large part to Kessler doing "f*ck all" for years while he was busy in court over his contract), and a more fan friendly style than Kessler.
It's a no brainer, really.
It's just that he can make more money against Froch so naturally he wants Froch to win because he stands to gain more financially if Froch does emerge victorious.

If the fight is held at 175, I favor Bhop against them both. But what is it in Kessler you see that would trouble Bhop more? If u look at the Ward fights, whos style is somewhat as Bhops, both of them got beaten decisively.

I'm unsure if Kessler will trouble Bhop at all (mainly as you said because of the Ward fight (although I think Kessler under the right circumstances , e.g. with present knowledge, will perform better against Ward than Froch did)), but I think he'll be more of a threat than Froch, since he in my opinion is a better fighter then Froch.
I'm just curious as to why Bhop is only calling Froch out, when he could easily call 'em both out.

Hopkins wouldn't have much difficulty beating either Froch or Kessler.

Part respect for the man, part hoping that he can land that fight. Would be a good fight. But Froch is not moving up so can Hopkins move down to a catchweight? I dont really think so.
