So khan wants to play match maker again. I found it hillarious that was the first thing out his mouth lol. He looked like he didn't even want to be there. He had guys all round him that beat him up or will beat him up.
why is every stupid thing that comes out of this guys' mouth always news worthy in here?
His own fellow peers don't take him seriously as an elite fighter anymore.
Honestly, I don't know what win he ever got that would make him elite to begin with. Judah? Malignaggi?

so wait, khan wants to stay at 140 for Lucas, but then he wants him to fight Maidana? Is that so he can try to get out of fighting Lucas now? Move up to 147 and be someone else's KO highlight reel amir... everyone knows you're a farce now.
I just thought, is Maidana the gatekeeper to Khan like Berto is to Floyd? Lopez beats Maidana then fights Khan and the winner (GB will assume it well be Khan) fights Floyd.

Just because he got a miracle survival win over Maidana he wants to equate both fighters Maidana is a Mental psychopathic K.O kinda guy,

khan just wants matthysse to break down from the maidana punches :lol1:
Probably thinks he's being real crafty about it too, no one will see his devious plan :lol1:
Yeah I think Matts will enjoy a massive poularity ****e at home after this win. Maidana, the other half of such a matchup, I remember performing in front of a packed crowd in Argentina not so long ago against a guy named Angel I think. Ended matters by a body shot. I'd guess Maidana is around 25-30 to Sergio's 45 down there.. And Matts is picking up ground fast. If they bill it as an eliminator match to win the mayweather sweepstakes in a year or so, the fight could be very big.
The Maidana-Angel fight only got a 2.9 rating. But yeah, there seems to be a loyal hardcore fanbase that could fill up a 9k stadium, but I'm not sure about them filling up a 50k soccer stadium. Well, I guess it depends on the prices. But if it's low enough to fill a stadium, it probably wouldn't be big money and they'd make more in the US.
It seems Khan always wants to his opponents fight Maidana.
To Paul McCloskey - "You wouldn't beat Maidana!"
To Danny Garcia - "You wouldn't beat Maidana!"
To Kell Brook "Fight someone like Maidana then we can talk about a fight"
This is the same Maidana who went life and death with a shot Morales and a shot DeMarcus Corley :lol1:
not big on maidana, but garcia also went life and death with morales and he's shaped up well
and on another note, maidana probabley sparks khan in a rematch
He said he would fight if he had to cause they're professionals but he mentioned they were friends and didn't sound too excited about it.

Kinda what I figured theres def more lucrative fights for Matthysse right now IMO
How big is it really? I've heard Matthysse talking about it saying it's only a big fight for the reporters, but not for the general public and it wouldn't be financially viable. I found the ratings for the Matthysse-Peterson fight in Argentina, and it it only got a 2.3 point rating. That's like 230,000 people who saw it I think. I contrast, Martinez got around a 45 point rating, which is probably the type of popularity you need to fill a stadium. The Klitschkos are the only guys who regularly fill stadiums, and they always get over 50 point ratings in Germany.

Lucas and Marcos will fight each other eventually its too lucrative of a fight for it to not happen they would sell out the soccer stadium in argentina 50,000+, shotime even said they are on board with it. But it doesnt need to be made right away. 3-4 years down the road this fight will be an "ace in the hole" for goldenboy.

lucas beats maidana imo. maidana hits hard obviously, but lucas does everything much better than maidana does. this is an interesting fight nonetheless. would love to see it happen, though it probly wont, since lucas has bigger fish to fry...
The thing about Matthyse, if you were truly going to analyze his record, is that he has been in and beaten in several impressive victories. A gambit of different skilled boxers fell to him or should have. This impressive display can blind one to something regarding Maidana vs Matthyse: Matts has never been in with a sledgehammer puncher like Maidana, his claim to fame is catching boxers. Judah, Alexander, peterson, all these guys have enough pop to gain respect but they aint ko artists. Maidana struggles with boxers, guys who can move, but he excels against everyone else. Lucas is NOT light on his feet so he will be hit by the bigger Maidana. Also he has been upping his boxing game of late. My suspicion is the weight difference , am history (lucas has a losing record to Chino), and style matchup is perfect for El Chino. Unless Matts drains Maidana to 140, Maidana would be too much for the Machine. Watch.
Khan is very jealous of Matthysse because he is the 140 pounder everybody is excited about and only Khan's most loyal fans even care about him anymore. Khan predicted and was praying for Judah to beat Garcia to prove Khan was really better than Garcia because he could beat Judah and Garcia could not. He predicted and was praying for Peterson to beat Matthysse to prove than he could handle Peterson and Matthysse could not. Now he wants Maidana to beat Matthysse to show that he can beat Maidana and Matthysse can't.Matthysse showed Khan how the world's best 140 pounder takes care of Peterson and soon he will show Khan how to beat Garcia. Khan should prove he hits harder and takes a punch better at 147 by giving Maidana the rematch he has been asking for instead of fighting an average puncher like Alexander. Khan wants to beat Matthysse by proxy through Maidana. Khan keeps bringing up his old wins but he is not as good a fighter as he used to be and Maidana would knock Khan out if they fought again in my opinion.
Khan wants no part of Lucas, so started matching up other fighters. With regards to Lucas-Maidana, it would be a mismatch at this point imo. Lucas has the better skills, timing and chin, he would time chino and probably drop him multiple times before stopping him.
