I've seen Rios get dropped in a real early fight of his, I can't find the video anymore. He doesn't have any iron chin.
As of NOW, I'm not sure who's chin would stack up to Lucas' power. The top chins in 140 right now are probably Devon, Rios, and Garcia.
And I'm not exactly sure how well any of those 3 would do in the later rounds if they got hit flush.
Joel Ortega? Man Rios showed MAD heart there, he was fucked!
Hate to break it to you but I don't think such a thing exists.
Nobody is going toe to toe with Matthysse and finishing the fight on their feet NO ONE. I don't care how sturdy your chin is.
Agreed. At 140, there's no such thing as a chin that neutralizes Lucas's power. You have to avoid as many punches as you can and hope you're hurting him with your own. Or be Floyd Mayweather. But there's only one Mayweather, so yeah.

I'm not sure about Garcia, he got hurt A few times by Judah in hhis last outing same for rios
Someone like Brandon Rios. I think Matthysse would win that fight, but i'd like to see what Matthysse would do if a fighter isn't hurt by his punch.
If Garcia and matthysse fought then i believe matthysse won't be able to knock garcia out and that Garcia will win cause he's got a great chin and a huge neck which Is always helpful. And I'm a neutral fan between them both so I'm not biased.
Bernard Hopkins??
OOps,lol. missed the white!
I had a look at it on youtube, the ref stepped in. Johnson didn't look hurt to me.

Anyway, I agree with you.
Danny Garcia has a excellent chin which to me makes that fight very interesting despite people writing Garcia off already
Garcia has a chin and he is bringing his own Power to the Table, neither of them is overly fast so I see both landing with their power during the fight and Danny Garcia is excellent when it comes to exchanges that is where he does his most damage, he showed early against Zab in their match up that he can also box, nobody expected him to out-box Zab as well as he did the first few rounds, also a smart fighter and can make adjustments
I know people are high on Matthysse as they should be because the man is a BEAST but Danny Garcia is not going to be easy for Matthysse and I think that is truly a 50/50, but no surprise Danny is already the underdog from the fans, people been against this guy since the first Morales fight for what ever reason but he keeps proving people wrong, we shall see can he do it again
i think danny and mathysse are pretty similar. a lot more people like one better than the other, the differences are danny's a little younger and a little taller, where one is in his prime, the other's probably not there yet (garcia) they're basic boxer punchers with power and underrated hand speed.
it's gonna be an interesting fight to say the least.
Says the guy that thought Guerrero would beat Mayweather HAHAHA
I can't take any of your comments serious after that BS!
Exactly, you got nothing to say now. When someone comes at you with logic, you come with some personal attacks instead of just debating.
You're the reason why people only browse NSB, and don't post.

I'm not entirely sold on Garcia's chin/punch reistance yet. Can he take a flush shot? Yes, but who has he taken shots from? Khan/Morales/Holt/Zab. Khan lacks technique and doesn't commit fully into his shots, Morales was tagging him too but he's faded, Holt and Zab have above average power but they don't let their hands go enough. Matthysse lets his hands go, he's explosive and he commits 100% to his punches. Can he hurt Matthysse? Probably, but the problem is that he's gonna wait for Matts so that he can counter him. He's gonna have to trust in his chin and take the lead. If you don't push Matts back, he'll definitely push you back.
Matt's fists are like a hammer and chisel, doesn't matter how good his opponent's chin is.
That's what I'm saying. Bring your granite chin and stand in front this guy and eat flush shots. Might as well enter the ring with your jamas on, a comforter and a nice fluffy pillow.

How do you people think Garcia has a good chin? He was badly hurt by 2 guys in almost their 40s... Morales and Judah.

Rios? Bro... Rios has been hurt multiple times and especially by Alvarado. Rios would get the same treatment as everyone else. And lol @ you saying Rios cause you think he's durable. Best way to beat Matthysse is the Alexander way. Someone/anyone like Rios gets sparked out.

Matthysse himself said that Danny's slow, and wide with his punches. That lends me to believe that he'll try and exploit his slow punching with boxing, and not go head hunting.
If Morales could take it to Danny at his age, and take some bombs, what do you think Matthysse will do to Danny?
