The hype surrounding Matthysse, you would think he ran through Alexander and Zab Judah which didn't happen. Maybe he's the best Jr WW, maybe not, but Peterson shouldn't get slept on, neither should Danny Garcia. I would rather see Floyd vs Danny Garcia man the shi t talking between Dannys dad and Floyd and his dad would be epic then the beat down that floyd would put on danny would be epic too! oh and I think Floyd could have easily made 144 and he can make 140 but he is the shot caller so he refused and refuses

Floyd is really a 140 pounder and has to eat a bucket of fried chichen and drink a giant coke and put lead in his pockets to weigh 146 according to Mayweather Sr. Funny how the lowest he could get down to for Marquez was 146 when the contract called for a top weight of 142. Floyd is a full sized, lean, muscular welterweight who can no longer get down to 140. Who the hell does Senior think he is fooling with this new line of BS.? It was contracted for 144 not 142.

That really doesn't even matter though because he would get paid anyways~ I guess we will see who is correct here over the next year, I would be skeptical if the fight doesn't come off by May of next year that it ever would because there will become a point where Canelo will make a fight worth more so much to the point it would cut into Floyd's part (which would be a real fight killer).

yea...this isn't hype...the correct word for this is 'roadblock'...not hype It is boxing so of course everything is exactly as it appears and is always on the up and up. There is no scamming, no lying, no playing around because boxing is as pure as the freshly driven snow. You and I can say whatever, but what is the best path to make this the biggest possible fight as it is as big as possible? To me that is an easy answer and that answer is much more telling than any word that get uttered to the press, which are always very cheap.

The truth is even if he could make 144, he chose not to make it for a reason, he obviously didn't think he was gonna be healthy doing it. So how is he a 140 pounder then in 2013 if it wasn't healthy for him to make 144 in 2008???? And u know what??? It don't even matter, this is just lame on Mayweathers part.

Last week I gave Floyd the benefit of the doubt when this first surfaced but now I'm not buying it anymore. Floyd is making himself look bad and there's no point defending him. Why would they change tact if it is working? If there was no heat I would expect them to change, but since this struck a nerve (which is understandable) why would they do anything other than stick to it. If it ain't broke, don't fix it really. Besides taking up a dissenting opinion is much more challenging and entertaining.

Since it's easy to fool the casuals, and sadly the hardcore fans into thinking Floyd don't want it at '54 with Canelo, it's obviously not gonna happen next. I don't like the Arum route in building things up, it's inevitable the way I see it. Want people to spend $70 dollars, convince them Floyd is facing a guy he initially "didn't want it with" :lol1:. Truth be told, I don't intend on spending that kind of money so I may still stream it. Just go to a party when it comes off I am sure it would be popping, plus I am sure you could actually come out ahead financially on fight night considering there would be many overzealous Canelo fans.
