I think some where in his Showtime contract they told him to cut out all the buffoonary and foolishness.. I think they want him more likeable to the masses.
I mean HBO had dude looking like a clown at 35 years old, pirate mouth, showing cars and jewelry, him bragging about money and gambling.
Just a scumbag, however i think that was the real Floyd..
This new calm, mature Floyd is an act if i ever seen one.
OR has jail really changed him? I doubt it.. Not in 2 months
Either way, dudes by far the best boxer on the planet. Andre Ward isnt too far behind tho
I really doubt that HBO told him to become the person that made him sell fights. He was always about putting bums on seats from the day he went pro.
He just matured that's all... as logically anyone (probably besides Broner at this point) would do.
The character you portray is an extension of yourself. If you're willing to put yourself out there like that, and act a fool, then that says something about you.
I don't buy this whole, "it's just an act" nonsense. Obviously in private, I'm sure he's not AS crazy as he seems, but he's obviously somewhat like the persona he portrays.
Listen to his interviews with radio hosts, and interviews where he has roid rage episodes. The guy isn't some laid back, down to earth type of guy. He's a male diva. Simple and plain.
But ay, I'm not knocking his hustle. I watch his fights, and that's all.
Best post of the thread
No if anything the buffoon thing is probably the act. Before the "money" persona he was just like that, humble, and a decent guy. I can't knock the hustle though the act made him wealthy.

Its in his contract with showtime. He has to sell himself as a good guy.
nothing will take the fact away that he is a woman beating wannabe thug fight ducking cherry picking idiot racist liar! Did i leave anything out?
How do you know what's in the contract?
County fkin jail buddy. This ain't Alcatraz Floyd was in. :lol1:

No, what he's saying is that every city jail is not the same as the next.
I'm pretty sure there was reports of "Floyd losing weight" but when he got out he looked bigger than when he went in.

Hell nah, his head looked like it was too big for his body. But Floyd said he was acting like a diva and refused to eat the jail food.
Yes my dad who I visited and told me how the sh1t went and he wasn't in county jail either. Solitary confinement... Lol.

Your dad aint never been to no damn jail!! Trynna make it seem like he was a gang banger. Dude had traffic ticket violations.
Money Mayweather is an act. He's wrestled for WWE and a friend of Triple H. He created a character like the Million Dollar Man and sold it to the public. What you see at post fight press conferences is probably the real Floyd Mayweather.

Because he's Floyd. Pretty sure there were reports that he requested to be with the regular inmates but was denied. And he's never been in trouble before then all the sudden gets locked up at 36 after literally doing whatever the fuk he wants. It will humble you in some way

Keyword your DAD. Not YOU! To e isolated for 23 hrs a day in solitary confinement, and 24hrs a day on the weekend, is HORRIBLE. I been locked up alone before, but not for 72 days. Luckily he had fanmal, because without that, he would be bored CRAZY. He would have driven himself insane.

he's always been like that when he visits the uk....
and he always does that after he beats a fighter.... calls them a champ, and great....
pure boxing skills don't sell ppv....
talking ****.... and making people want to see you get knocked out does....
that and guys who bulldoze mutha****as.
So why didn't DLH have to act like a twat?
