Legendary Evander Holyfield (age 50) is making a comeback after being out for 2 years, Rick Roufus (age 46) seems to be the leading candidate as the comeback opponent.
Roufus' last MMA fight was in October 2012, not too long ago, so he's active. But his last boxing match was over 10 years ago. The Holyfield fight would be a boxing match - Holyfield isn't going MMA!
Holyfield vs Roufus... Who Wins?
Lol, I kickboxed under Rick Roufus' brother Duke here in Milwaukee. Rick's brother trains Showtime Pettis as well. I love both these guys, no clue who I'd be pulling for.
watching fights where you root for both boxers.. that can be tough to sit through, the few times it happened to me I was pushing for a draw.. lol
No one wins in this match its just sad. Holyfield shouldn't be allowed to box anymore his speech is already messed up and I don't know much about Rick Roufus but this is just dumb
If he clears the medical he should get the license - it's not as if he got knocked out continuously, only twice in his whole career, the last time was against James Toney 10 years ago. He had a 2 year break so that should be valuable healing time.
I'm not against Holyfield fighting competition of a similar age, it's nothing new in boxing. But if he tries to fight the young contenders I'd be less open to the idea.

Rick "The Jet" vs "The Real Deal" lmao these guys need to give it up SERIOUSLY. They are both ATG in their respective sports and this fight does nothing but give them a few thousand dollars. Even though it's boxing I might give it to Rick because he's been more active no matter what fighting style.
