His legs went, the gas tank was empty and he was probably facing the first adversity of his career. he didn't have the mental strength and that's probably the most important asset for a top level fighter.
Thats the truth of it.
Appeal to popularity fallacy. If the majority of the boxing world are arguing that David Haye lacks heart based on his performance against Wlad, they are incorrect.
Slipping Wlad's punches was an incomplete answer as it wasn't enough for him to mount a successful offense. He still had to deal with the range and movement which prevented him from closing the distance, he still had to deal with Wlad leaning on him when he got close which prevented him from being ineffective when he did manage to close the distance.
Yeah the majority could be wrong but then you'd have to explain why a lot of Haye fans (myself included) gave him shit for that performance when they're supposed to be biased towards him...
How often did he try to close the distance? His strategy was to lure Wlad in and when he was falling behind on the scorecards he kept doing it. He had the choice between sticking to his stupid gameplan and losing a decision or taking chances in order to create opportunities for a KO. For safety reasons he chose the former, so he showed a lack of heart in this fight, I'm not saying he has absolutely no heart. Fighters can redeem themselves.
I agree. How can you be stupid enough to think Wlad would EVER come forward? Wlad hasn't been aggressive since Corries Sanders spanked him. Very poor effort from Haye. It's why nobody cares if he ever fights again besides brits.
We even got brits here who want to disown him, that's why I'm shocked that some people try to defend that performance.
Well u said he didn't give up u said he was probaly hurt. Did you mean he was getting his ass handed to him or he was injured. Like I said I didn't watch the fight
I meant that i think he quit because he was injured, not just because he was gassed like many people suggest.

He was injured, which would explain why he barely threw any punches in the rounds leading up to the stoppage.
When did i give the guy a pass?

And I'm not overrating Broner, I just think he would have beat this dog sht outta burns. He did nothing vs this guy just now.
Broner can barely handle a jab from Peterson. He might even get whooped up on by Paulie.
I'm spewing **** that the majority of the boxing world happens to agree with. Got ya.
And he was slipping Wlad's jab so he had an answer for it, but he had an awful gameplan and when it wasn't working he just decided to sit back and take his UD loss.

Haye doesn't have a high punch output anyway, he has low stamina doesn't mean lack of heart just his style to move outside opponents range and step in with bombs, wlad's much taller, bigger, longer reach and is great boxer with knock out power haye had to be cautious of.
But he and the whole world knew that he had to bring the fight to Wlad. I don't blame him for losing, I blame him for his pathetic effort.
Throwing minimal punches was a result of him not having an answer to Wlad's jab, not a lack of a heart. And I will get out of here the moment you stop spewing ****.

It's not the image itself, it's Haye's overall performance in the fight which was pathetic. No lack of heart? With the number of punches he threw? Get outta here, his output was pitiful. He didn't try to create opening, that's the thing, he was waiting for Wlad to give him one, he said he expected Wlad to come forward. :pat: And when he realized his gameplan wasn't working what did he do? Nothing. Talked his way into a title shot, landed 3 good punches the whole fight, blamed his pinky toe. Come on man.
And I consider myself a Haye fan .

burns was losing a shut out on my cards...........i can't say it was a battle of wills because burns really didn't hit him with anything to make him quit.
the guy just gave up on himself because he was gassed.
That's exactly what it was. Burns has nothing to be proud of. He just needs to feel lucky his opponent was accidentally exposed for having no heart. Not hating or disrespecting the UK, I just don't think Burns is anything special.
The image doesn't display a lack of heart, believe it or not supporting/resisting your opponents weight is very tiring so leaning forward was actually the sensible thing to do. His performance didn't display a lack of heart either, he simply ran into an opponent who was too technically sound for him to create openings for.
You're letting your feelings cloud your judgement.

Rios made Mike Alvarado look like Ray Leonard, a vintage Manny Pacquiao would pulverise him. But Manny has been slowing down since 2010, and who knows if his punch resistance will ever be the same again? Manny's potential vulnerability means there's question mark hanging over the fight, but that's the only question mark.
There were three rounds left. If Chelo lost each of them 10-9 it would've been a draw.
I think there were only 3 rounds to go?
yeah
Oh, my bad then. The fact that he was leading on all 3 scorecards will make the loss a bitter pill to swallow for him. Hopefully he doesn't perceive it negatively and uses it as motivation.
