What are your thought besides the BS "old dog can't learn new tricks"... What do you think can happen if Cotto really applies himself??

He should stick with Diaz and Landman needs to either change up his conditioning tactics or Cotto needs to go with someone else. Landman is good, but it's clear he's just not putting Cotto in the optimum shape anymore. He needs a taskmaster to get the best out of him and with Phil, he may be too comfortable after so long working together.
Yeh I agree 100%. I just think he took Trout lightly and thought it would be another Yuri Foreman type of fight.
I'm not sure he took Trout lightly, he fought well and there were a lot of close rounds but he just couldn't hurt the guy because he doesn't belong at 154.
I think Cotto thinks that a new trainer may reenergize and spark his interest in Boxing bc I think Cotto is basically just tired of Boxing. I wish Cotto would call it a day and retire and not take the Canelo fight cause he is going to get a beating and I am too big a fan to want to see Cotto catch a beating like that.
Good move. Cotto needs to get in ****in shape for 12 rounds. Freddie's fighters are always in tremendous shape so we will see what he can do with cotto.
Diaz is fine, he's one of the better trainers out there apparently.
Cotto could probably do with a new conditioning coach though, which I heard he might be going to Ariza for.
Exactly right. The trainer isn't the problem. Honestly, Cotto needs to train harder and try to make 147. There are better winnable fights there.
