I think it will do worse than people think. The only draw in this fight is Marquez. Other than hardcore fans, nobody knows Tim Bradley. He's been beat 2/3 of last fights, no power, robs everybody, he stunk the place out vs Alexander, headbutts.
The Mexicans will pull this up. Expecting it to do between 250-350k.
They will market it as the two guys who beat Pac so it could do well.. I thought Pac beat Bradley but you know what I mean, officially Pac took an L on that one too..
300-350k imo. Which is sad because I'm really looking forward to it, but its not a friend style match up, and the only major selling point is JMM will have kod pac in his last match.
I think it'll do alot better than people expect and I'm not just saying that as a fan. Marquez gained alot of momentum from that Pacquiao knockout and I think people would pay to see Bradley lose.
450k buys on any day other than Sept 15, on that day does 650k.
Around 350-450? The date is a problem. If Floyd fights in Sept, Bob moves the date to Oct. where there's a sh1t ton of stuff going on. Baseball World Series , MLS, even NCAA football, etc. Gonna be a hard sell to general public.
I say around 600 no way under it marque is a legandary fighter that brutal ko put him as a favorite for casual fans everyone knows jmm will not be in a boring fight
If there is no other competition the night this fight happens I think Marquez/Bradley will do 400-450k buys but if Mayweather or Canelo fight the same night it wont do anywhere near close to those numbers.
You probably cant estimate anything until we know who else is fighting on that september date. But i cant see it doing too much either way. Casual fans wont be too interested in these two without may or pac. Personally i been wanting to see this fight for a while :boxing:
450-500k
Similar to Cotto Margarito type numbers.
I will be ordering it and I know all the Mexicans in my block will its going to be loud on that day lots of parties and Banda music playing.
