I know it was a bit of a wash out but personally i felt he had the right idea of landing counter body shots, i know only a few landed early and Floyd made the adjustments.
I keep thinking that a tactic similar to what Froch did against Bute would possibly be effective, holding back then 2-3 punch combo's then hold (straight punches). Doesnt matter if its effective as such, maybe seeing short punches landing would impress the judges.
What do you guys think?
Guerrero never had the physical gifts to make the right gameplan vs. Floyd.
He lacked both the foot and handspeed to land on Floyd.
That was the main difference. He was always two steps behind Floyd's swift athletic body.
Even if he did finally land something on Floyd, he lacked the power to make it count.
Maybe Danny Garcia would do well against Floyd, hes a little crude but he constantly throws counters. It wouldnt be so effective when Floyd pot shots but he might be able to cut the ring off a little better than Guerrero and make him throw shots.
