Lara hasn't done sh*t. His hype train was derailed by Molina ffs.. Canelo makes his resume look like a walmart receipt.. Trout deserved the win vs Alvarez, so I'd rather to see Mayweather-Trout.
absolutely nothing. but that doesnt mean they wony by the time floyd fights them. but belts aside, because really who cares about them at floyds level, im just talking skill level/resume/and ability. they are all virtually about the same. i know most ppl seem to think otherwise but its true. if lara/garcia/khan/canelo were all the same size they would all be among the top fighters in that division and they would all have a real shot at beating each other.
I just think Lara's name should be in the mix just like all the others. The reason it isn't is because he's Cuban and its a tough sell and I don't think that's right.
And its a matchup I like because I want to see a boxing match, not heavy bag training.
It would be something different than what I'm used to seeing. I love seeing Floyd put on boxing clinics, don't get me wrong but its been flat footed guy after flat footed guy and they all have the same strategy.
Judah vs. Floyd was one of my favorite fights of his career and I would like to see another worthy slick athletic fighter get in the ring with him in at least one of his last 5 fights.
Lara and I guess you can say Bradley are really the only legit options at the moment that I can think of.
What have any of them done to deserve a shot at a title at 147?
And there is only one answer to that question.

garcia has a better resume than lara and hes more proven. so is khan for that matter. they are all flawed fighters, but in the end lara is not vastly superior to either of them. all of these guys are about the same level. its funny to hear u guys dissect them, i dont get it. not one of them are elite, they all have different styles and they all have glaring flaws. canelo is included in that as well. and im a lara fan, but he hasnt really done anything to make a lot of noise since the pwill fight.

I just threw Devon's name out there but Khan, Ortiz and Garcia (right now) fall in that same category and they have all been mentioned.

Why ate people against this? We've seen Floyd school flat footed fighters over and over again.
Let's see him do the chasing and cutting off the ring for once.
Yeah no kidding. I had actually never even thought of this match up, but it's a really intriguing one now that I think of it.
Would love to see this.. like PBP mentioned earlier it would be interesting to see how Money would handle Lara's style.
Once Lara is done thrashing Angulo, Canelo would be a more viable/realistic option. I don't think Canelo would be up for the challenge tho as he just went life and death with Trout and needs to recover.
nope. means jack ****. and who says devon is in the mix? not one person from gbp nor floyds camp have mentioned devon. ppl on this site came up with it and ran with it.

This is one of the things I hate about boxing. Devon is in the mix but Lara isn't?
He's the WBA #1 contender but it doesn't mean ****.

No chance it hell it would happen, but I'd love it.

Lara fought Hernandez on the inside with his high guard. Learn your boxing bud.

Floyd is guranteed $32mill or more whoever he fights brother!
Damn, I forgot about that. Yet he still wouldn't fight Lara, amirite?
You also have to take into consideration PPV sales, and ticket sales.
Why even bring Lara up, when Canelo is a hard enough sell to Floyd.
Canelo = $$$ and credible opponent, yet we're sitting here wondering whether he'll take the fight.
Lara = NO $$$ and credible opponent.
You actually think in your wildest imaginations that Floyd would take this fight?

Too bad it won't never happen! Only competitive fight I see for Floyd outside Canelo match!
Same here... It's one of my favorite match-ups, I've been saying it for a while. Canelo is made for Floyd though (size is really his only advantage ).
