I didn't score Guerrero vs Mayweather but I felt it was a razor close fight. Floyd clearly won rounds 3 and 8 and Guerrero also won a few rounds pretty clearly, and almost all the other rounds were totally even, razor close, basically swing rounds.
So stop with "masterclass", "Floyd outclassed him".
So I rewatched the fight now and scored it: I gotta admit when I watched it live (while not scoring) I felt Guerrero was doing a lot better. I scored it for Mayweather 6 rounds to 4 with 2 rounds even.
Mayweather won rounds 3,4,5,8, 10 and 11
Guerrero won rounds 2,7,9 and 12
I scored rounds 1 and 6 even.
A lot of the rounds were pretty close, so.... I don't see how anybody was outclassing somebody. But I do agree overall it was Mayweather who was landing the clean, sharp punches, so I think he definitely deserved this win.
What is a real problem is the cheerleading of the commentators. I watched it live on a british stream and the boxnation commentators were cheerleading for Floyd it was almost unreal.

Here's my POINT...you watched the fight!!! Love him or Hate him!!!
The world would be a better place if the Pacquiao Fans/Haters and Mayweather Jr. Fans/Haters would stop posting so we could have a somewhat decent discussion about boxing on this forum...
Yes, very close fight, hard to score.
Mayweather won 8 to 11 rounds.
Guerrero 4 at best, but that's being utterly generous.
True, Floyd at times was landing his right hand at will, but I don't give rounds for effective and clean punching. Hell, no Sir!.
Mayweather, as his usual, was ducking!!!. He ducked Guerrero's punches all night and didn't throw enough wild looping shots!.
He ran like a chicken!. Even Guerrero Snr said so!.
He's a coward, Guerrero got punched in the face most of the night, but took it like a man! :trink26:

I don't like Mayweather but he clearly won the fight and showed why he is still the greatest boxer in his division, people that are saying it was a close fight were either smoking crack or don't know how to score a fight.
I also thought the fight was close. The commentating probably influenced a lot of people scorecards. I'll admit that Floyd starting making Ghost look foolish towards the end of the fight. It was hard to give rounds to Floyd though for landing two or three clean shots and then getting on his bicycle. I thought Robert did enough to win, but I could see Floyd winning too, so I'm not mad with the result.
Also, people who only gave RG one round....cannot score a fight.
He didn't win more than two or three at the very most. If you had Guerrero winning this fight, or even had it close, YOU cannot score a fight, and you know **** all about boxing.
It kind of boggles my mind that people like you are allowed to continually post when you're obviously trolling.
Fan or not, Mayweather put on a thorough boxing clinic. Maybe the fight was only notable due to hype (for those with more than a 4-week-long short term memory will remember Guerrero being laughed out for calling out Floyd before the Berto fight), but FMJ continues to box on a level unlike any other...any boxing fan can appreciate that, even grudgingly.

lmao, awesome post of the year, and gif of the year.

the fight wasn't close at all - and I'm sure as hell no floyd fan ... you can't score a fight for sh1t kid ... best to stop trying
I don't think it all that was close, but it was clear that a lot of guys were giving May rounds based on assumption. Many people can't follow the hits, blocks, and misses so they just give the round to Floyd because it's a safe bet.

I had it 8 rounds May to 4 Guerrero and you can make the case for giving him another round.
I felt the rounds Robert won he had to fight real hard to get (except the 12th), the Mayweather rounds though were clear Mayweather rounds.
