I have watched many of his fights to study his style. He is a dynamite puncher but is wild. He keeps his right hand so low when jabbing or just all the time. A slick footed fighter can exploit that easily.
Also he never goes to the body - well hardly ever.
His power will take him so far - but he may get in trouble against a slick mover with a good left hand. :boxing:
He's a fight or two away from being utterly schooled IMO.
That power is nothing to fck around with, but it'll only save him so many times. If someone can manage to stay away from his wild bombs, they could easily outbox him in my opinion.
Saying that, with the power he has he'll always have a chance of bombing anyone out.
wilder is open to any punch in the book. unfortunately he is 6 foot 7 and a powerhouse, and its hard to get to him regardless of how bad his defense is. eventually he will get rocked when he ups the competition, but there is not one heavyweight out there that isnt in serious danger facing him. wild and undisciplined and unbalanced he may be, but if he touches you, youre gettin hurt!
He needs to be thrown in with a durable journeyman.
His team needs to throw him in with an opponent where has to work for the victory. His fights are too easy because, first - his opponents aren't every good and secondly - he has this tremendous power.
I say put him in with someone like Chagaev, Guinn or even someone like Glazkov.
Hes open to everything, and doesnt have the chin for it.
Hope he corrects that but they seldom do.
