No, because he doesn't posses that one punch knockout. He posses speed, offensive skills, but regarding power, hmm I don't think so. He didn't knock anyone lately at the elite level.
You know, great speed, power and an offensive machine but lacks the chin to beat the best.
He's never fought the best. He's lost to an average and 2 good fighters. Not one fighter he's lost to is "elite". We discussed if Garcia was elite in another thread...he's not. So you can't really compare Hearns and Khan in that respect. Also khan doesn't have near the power hearns was carrying.
You know, great speed, power and an offensive machine but lacks the chin to beat the best.
Khan has no power bro.
He has a ton of heart and no quit in him though, a true warrior.
You know, great speed, power and an offensive machine but lacks the chin to beat the best.
hahahahahahahahahahahaha, haven't laugh this good for a while. You have to be joking right?
Consider that he outboxed Wilfredo Benitez and Virgil Hill, destroyed Cuevas and Duran in two rounds, no. I don't think it's fair to say he couldn't beat the best.
Also consider all the punches Khan got away with putting on Danny Garcia without much return in the first two rounds, without hurting him once. No, don't let Khan convince you he's an offensive machine.
Hearns was fantastically skilled as an outside and inside fighter and was not glass chinned.
The only man to stop him at his prime weight, welterweight, was one of the best fighters of all time in Ray Leonard. He still took some bombs from him before wilting. Same thing with the Hagler fight. Flush on the chin but he just keeps fighting until he gets ground down.
You can draw a lot of vague parallels between the two, but that's all. Hearns had a lot of things Khan does not have and their styles are not at all similar.
Going on like hearns has a glass chin, hearns was fighting ended up fighting at cruiserweight his frame wasn't that big else he would of been a cruiserweight his whole career he fought alot of bigger guys and smoked them dont come on here like biscuit chin is comparable to hearns
Lol complete bullshet you cant compare biscuit chin to hearns. Khan thinks he has serious power but he aint that powerful his power is average at best. Sure he has atg speed and a decent jab but you cant compare him to thomas hearns you just cant
You know, great speed, power and an offensive machine but lacks the chin to beat the best.
Don't ever....never ever put Khan's name in the same sentence as Tommy Hearns. Jesus Christ :slap:
On punching power alone, Hearns at 160lbs. had the ability to knock out a heavyweight. 230+ pound heavyweight. And you're comparing that to Amir Khan, who isn't even the hardest puncher in his own weight division?
No.Hearns is an all time great and that is something Khan will never be. Hearns was KOed three times during his long, hall of fame career. He was KOed by Iran Barkley, a very heavy puncher and Hagler and Leonard two other all time greats. His chin was not iron but it was not that bad or he never would have won the many big fights over punchers that he did win. He certainly did not have a glass jaw like Khan.Hearns often won the big fights. He beat killer puncher, hall of famer Pipino Cuevas by KO in 2 rounds and he also KOed the great Duran in two rounds. He also beat hall of famer Benitez in his prime and Virgil Hill for the light heavyweight title. He deserved to win his rematch with Leonard but had to settle for a draw. He won world titles at 147, 154, 160 and 175. The idea of Hearns getting KOed by a fighter of Prescott's quality or a prime Hearns just barely beating an unranked fighter like Diaz is unthinkable. Hearns was 100 times better than Khan will ever be in my opinion.
