Or has this year been really good for boxing so far? We have had evenly matched battles like Bradley/Provodnikov,Rios/Alvarado 2,Garcia/Judah and 2 elites getting it on in Donaire/Rigo-it seems like boxing, promoters in particular have turned over a new leaf, with plenty of mouth-watering fights scheduled and in the pipeline, whats everyones thoughts?
there's only good yrs and better yrs for boxing fans
this one is turning out really good so far
good fighters are making for good fights
the TR-GB thing sucks, but it's not the end of the world
there's still plenty of good fights upcoming too
good yr for some new fans to have their interest piqued
Back to back 3-6 hour boxing saturdays, it's been an amazing couple of weeks and the whole 2013 has been great.
Good times for a boxing nut.
The other night I came home from work (bartender) and I was like,
"Wait, I have like six fights to watch tonight?????
...Yesssssssss"
It has been a great year at the fights so far.
I think a lot of this is due to matchmaking errors though; Rios, Arreola, Khan, Bradley, Martinez, and Garcia were all supposed to win their recent fights with relative ease, however all of them turned into outright wars if not upsets.

It's just the human element kicking in, the intangibles. This year has really benefited off of it imho. Martinez/Murray could possibly be a star-making performance for Murray though he didn't officially win. Provodnikov also put himself on the map as more than just a FNF fighter.
Jan-Feb was pretty quiet, April-June is gonna be crazy, let's see what happens during the summer.

Rios-Alvarado II - good for boxing
Bradley-Provodnikov - good for boxing
Rigondeaux-Donaire - the reason why UFC fans exist
Martinez-Murray - huge let-down
Fury-Cunningham - hype train derailed
Canelo-Trout - robbery
Khan-Diaz - leet level neck hasn't changed a damn thing
Garcia-Judah - boring
Mayweather-Guerrero - could be okay for boxing, but Floyd's gonna toy with Robert it won't even be close
Peterson-Mathysse - another robbery in the making
= seen better
You will never enjoy boxing with that sort of negativity, can you name a 3-4 month stretch in recent years that has been better?
April has been the best boxing month in recent memory. im counting cinco de mayweather as april as well since its part of the 7 week high profile consecutive fights. :D

Awesome year. Like I told you, Rios caught a beating and lost. Bradley caught a beating too and Donaire caught his as well.
I love it.

It started off really slow ... January - February was crickets. But these past two months have been unreal.
And with Floyd/Guerrero,Matthysse/Peterson and Froch/Kessler 2 it looks set too carry on
Boxing is very alive, I've been able to show my friend who NEVER watches sports really and got him into practically all the recent main events and some cards since Broner-Rees.
Ye i think i phrased that wrong
In any case,i think us fans deserve some excitement after boxing had gone a little stagnant in the last few years imo
Agree. Boxing has life again. I swear, the past couple of years were straight up dull.
