AUDLEY Harrison is convinced he can muscle his way into the world title picture – even at the age of 41.
Harrison fights unbeaten sensation Deontay Wilder on the undercard of the Amir Khan-Julio Diaz clash in Sheffield on Saturday night.
And he believes a shock victory over the American KO specialist will propel him towards a dream world heavyweight title clash.
The British 2000 Olympic super-heavyweight champion has dismissed all thoughts of retirement despite his advancing years and an up and down professional career.
He said: “I am very stubborn and my goal is to become a world champion and I haven’t achieved that yet.
“I am still serious about my career and want to achieve my goal. So there is no better way right now than by defeating Deontay Wilder. Click Here To Read More]

i am one of the few harrison fans i guess...
i never thought he was a top fighter but he has stepped in the ring with some good fighters. i like the guy & think his biggest mistake was promoting himself early in his career. if he let someone else guide his career early i'm almost certain he would have done much better.he's big, has power, has a huge reach & is a southpaw. the talent is there but he hit a wall once he started stepping up in class. he was picking his own opponents early when someone else should have been matchmaking for him...underachiever but i'm a fan & hope he clobbers wilder...
Has anyone ever sat down and contemplated what the world would be like if Audley Harrison actually won a world title??
Swear it would tear a hole in reality or something.

Oh man Audley always makes me laugh. He gets knocked out, says he's going to retire and then comes back and says he's better than ever. And then of course the cycle starts again.

It'd probably be really good for boxing. Suddenly a lot of young athletes would turn to boxing, thinking: In boxing, anything really CAN happen!
Who knows, maybe it would spark a revolution in the sport, and more young boxers would chase the dream of winning a title instead of thinking they don't have a shot.
This is a big fight for both fighters.
I think there is more risk for Wilder to perform. I believe he will perform.
Wilder 5th round KO. After a few rounds feeling Wilders power Audley will clam up.
Audley said if he wins, repeat if he wins
Boxing is mind over matter, Audley already lost without even getting in the ring. Negative response. If? Audley will get knock out, period.
the guy beats owen beck & kertson manswell & he thinks he's ALI...audley is by far his biggest step to date. he should be able to handle him but he was on the floor by harold sconiers(never saw knock down but assuming it was a flash) so i'm interested to see if we get another david price finish...if wilder can't beat harrison it could be disasterous but not the end of the world...
Owen Beck is Wilder's best opponent to date and when he beat him it was Beck's 7th lose in a row with five stoppages within the distance. That is all anyone really needs to know about the "Bronze Bomber." And how anyone can take Fraudly even remotely seriously is mind boggling.
It's like every time you knock him out he gets dumber. He should be watching tape of his post fight comments. He was an absolute chicken against Price. Timmmmberrrrr
Like I've always said you can't deny destiny and no matter how many times you knock this man down he'll be back and he will be a world champion, there is a clear door to a world title for audley IMO , defeat wilder in an ugly fight and then defeat povetkin in an ugly fight, simple!
Deontay Wilder is not a top 10 fighter, sorry Audrey!!! But if he beats him it does leave him in a good position but no ways will he get a title fight! He's not going to win this!!

Recently, I've been hoping something like that happens. Just because it would literally be the funniest story in boxing history (well, I can't think of one funnier anyway).
It would be brilliant, because even if he actually looked good winning the title, everyone would still take the piss out of him :lol1:
