PPV Buys for Mayweather-Guerrero?

There was no official release of the numbers from the network for that fight. It was shaefer claim that it did 1.25. Why do you even have those historic fighters in your avi? You are obviously a fanboy.

This is FMJ first fight out of jail. People will tune in to see what he has left. With that said, if Floyd and Showtime think people are paying 75.00 to watch this mismatch, they are sadly mistaken. I can't see it doing more than 900k.

It would be something if this PPV falls short of a Million buys, which would be "on record" Floyd's worst outing on PPV since Carlos Baldomir. Probably not the best start for Showtime's "Money" acquisition. But we shall see.

He wanted too much money to face mediocre comp that will not bring in the #'s in order to justify his $ demands. Many industry insiders reported that Floyd/Ortiz actually did 725k buys rather than the 1.25mil that shaefer reported. If true I don't see Floyd vs Guerrero doing any better. Lol well we all know that Guerrero will get credit for the PPV buys. Anyways I think the thing of leaving HBO is bad for PPV buys, HBO seems to be PPV king, plus they are better known and have more viewers than Showtime...although there is CBS with showtime. Anyways...1.1 million.

750-900 is a realistic number imo as it isn't on HBO, though it wouldn't surprise if it did over a mil.

this promotion + the opponent + being on Showtime = definatly not over a mill...but its hard to say i mean May - Hatton (known + huge fanbase) didnt do 1 mill but May - Ortiz (tree) did...so who really knows...but i think you are on the safe side saying it will make 750.000 - 900.000...

What people don't realize is Oscar De La Hoya, the supposed biggest PPV draw ever, had 4 fights surpass 1 million buys. 2 of those were with Floyd and Manny themselves. Floyd and Manny regularly do 1 million plus buys, so people act like not doing 1 million is bad, it's not. Even Pacquiao doing 700,000 with Clottey, is a success considering the opponent. Floyd doing say 800,000-900,000 buys with Guerrero would be a success. 1 million would be a miracle. Solid post right here,it's amazing the numbers manny and floyd have done with the likes of Bradley and Ortiz.....I still think it will do close to a million

I think its interesting that Floyd's drawing power is under scrutiny at this point. He does solid numbers, so lets calm down and wait for a result, which will take a minute. Floyd still has a fanbase and with the added intrigue of the last several months also adds curiosity to this fight. Is it going to smash numbers; probably not but it will do solid business for the sport, which is good for promoters and ultimately good for fans.....

When it was first announced, I thought 1.0-1.15 million After the lukewarm promotion, I think it could be the first Floyd PPV to not crack a million since Hatton. I'm saying 900,000. If Floyd does 1 million with Robert Guerrero, it's nothing short of a miracle.

I just want a great performance from Floyd. With all that trash talking from both sides, you'd expect a good fight. Whether it gets 500k or 1.5Million, I wouldn't care as long as it was a good fight. I've really been wanting to see what the ratings for Canelo-Trout are because I'm worried Showtime isn't doing so good after the 64,000 viewers for All Access, I'm more concerned about this being on Showtime than Guerrero not being a draw, I'm thinking 850,000 , I don't want Floyd to flop cause that's bad for Golden Boy which could cost us fights.
