I got Miguel Cotto by UD!

Cotto is way too slow, Canelo will be slippin his shots while being able to touch Cotto. I got Canelo by decision.

The kid simply hits too hard for Cotto to take it.

Styles make fights, I know Trout beat Cotto and Canelo beat Trout. But Miguel is still the chosen one, I got Miguel by UD over Canelo, Canelo has no chance of outboxing him and must Ko or Tko him. I'm a Cotto fan and think Canelo just walks through him at this point. And I'm not sold on Canelo yet, it's just the style that Cotto will fight will have him in range all night.

If we're honest, Cotto did better against Trout than Canelo. Plus, Canelo simply cannot walk through punches like Margarito. Really competitive fight. As Margarita #1 hater I must admit that he did had a depleted uranium chin. Cotto landed some brutal bombs on him during fight 1 and 2. He basically walked thru them.

Cotto stands a chance against Canello if...And ONY if...he attacks him when Canello is resting...he gets gassed too. Gotta go back to them body shots...the head will follow. Develop defense against uppercuts. It's possible. Depending how hard Cotto trains, how much he wants it, conviction. Canello's a sturdy healthy dude. Doesn't know what it's like to take vicious beatings. Cotto's gun shy, but time will tell how determined. Could be a good fight. If Cotto wins, I'd be surprised. I agree. Cotto needs to start training now, stamina, upper-D, foot work, CLEAN his diet and get his mother out the training camp...way too distracting for him. That was the reason behind his early departure from the high-altitude training which end up hurting him instead. He would have close to 5 months to get his self in shape, and TRAIN! Im a Cotto fan and as such....Yo voy al mio!!! 100%! Guerra Miguel! War Cotto!

Would be a good fight this atleast until they both gas and reaching for the oxygen in the late rounds.

Offensively Cotto will have far more success than Trout, I do like his chances but I'm going with Canelo, I think Canelo will hurt him quite a few times, even drop him, which would earn him the victory. Of course a stoppage isn't out the question, but I'm not sure whether to lean towards that considering Cotto will attack the body.

Canelo gasses in 6 and Cotto in 8... Difference being is that Canelo has (seems to) that weird ability to still throw short vicious shots all 12 and is good for an explosive combination. Cotto runs and becomes an arm puncher...it's why everybody has beaten him down the stretch he just goes into a defensive shell (an ineffective one at that...). Cotto can't hurt Canelo. He's just not a big enough puncher. Never has been. He has heavy hands but not big concussive power. He used to break people down to the body but these guys at 154 are too strong. Cotto was a good puncher at 147 and under..but is a decent one at 154.

We really still don't know if Canelo takes a good punch, he would certainly get wet in against Cotto, who has always been heavy handed. Until Canelo ticks all these boxes off, people will doubt him so he must take these challenges on and prove himself.

i agree but canleo also loses his stamina (I'd say he has worser stamina problems then cotto)........and to beat cotto you need to throw a lot of punches (mayweather, trout, margarito, pac, all threw a lot of punches to beat cotto) canelo is a spurt fighter......cotto can take a good single power shot. consistency is what kills cotto. not spurts. spurt with real junior middle power will tear up Cotto. they both gas out by the 7th...if Cotto lasts that long canelo gases by the 4th & then from there on he fights in spurts. cotto is a solid 8 round fighter and then he runs in the later rounds......... cotto obviously has the better stamina of the 2.
