How about this.
One more thing. Floyd only beat Oscar because Oscar was OLD. Period. The Oscar who fought Vargas at 154lb would have outpointed Floyd. There is almost no way he beats that version of Oscar. He was too big, too fast, too active, and just as smart. So, size does negate skill as well as skill negating size. Neither one of us are wrong. I got upset when you said I "talk out my ass." It wasn't necessary.
Difference of opinion.
Difference of opinions here. To say that I talk out of my ass shows you are a bogus fan who thinks their opinion is the only one that matters. Check my points and the way I speak. Does it sound like I came from the ghetto and don't know ANYTHING about boxing? I didn't think so, so save the disrespect for some newbie. This conversation ends here.
Size negates skill. This is a fact. A good big man will normally beat a good/great little man. Donaire was over-rated and inexperienced at cutting the ring off. Fury is a hype job and isn't even on Canelo's level. Look at the course of boxing history and rethink that statement. Manny is an all-time great and very special fighter. When Mayweather went up to 154lb and challenged an "old" Oscar, for 8 rounds Oscar was winning by a round. WHY? All he could land effectively was the jab and body punches. Again, it was his natural size that kept Mayweather's superior skill-set at bay. Trout beat Cotto because he was bigger. It's that simple. Cotto is the more skilled fighter but did that matter? No. Canelo is too big, too strong, too quick, and too intelligent to let either Cotto's skill or Mayweather's skill beat him. They are too little man. Mark my words.
skill negates size, bro. not the other way around.
oscar gave floyd problems for a number of reasons, size was a factor but a very small one.
you say his size neutralized floyds skill despite only being able to land jabs and bodyshots, ever figure he only landed jabs and bodyshots because of floyds skill?
also idk why you are pretending like oscar isnt one of the most skillful fighters of his generation. his greatest asset being the jab which is why it was successful early, the reason it wasnt successful late is floyds superior skill managed to neutralize it with time.
the reason he didnt take it away from oscar earlier is because he knew DLH was using the jab to set up his left hook, a punch he can set up and deliver with impeccable skill which made floyd take caution. it all comes down to skills and smarts. which is why floyd won comfortably in the end. so using them as an example is a terrible idea, dude. it doesnt prove your point at all, not that any fight could.
trout-cotto is even worse. trout is as skilled as cotto if not more skilled, he was faster and in better shape than cotto too. size played a part in that fight but to say trout won on size is absurd. speed, skills, hunger and stamina won him the fight.
you seem to be talking out of your ass, man. this is boxing and it all comes down to skill and smarts. any physical advantage can be neutralized with enough skill and smarts, size arguably being the easiest to neutralize.
COtto will beat Canelo.
Man this site has excellent trolls.
I'd rather they feed Ortiz to Canelo in June, give him Cotto in September than Molina in December, I think this will help him a lot plus draw.
I think Ortiz knocks out Cotto if they fight.
sure does..
I think Cotto would not fight a dangerous puncher like Ortiz when he is almost a sure thing to be Canelo's next fight anyway. I would pick Cotto to KO Ortiz in about 9 rounds. Ortiz would have a chance to win by KO but I favor Cotto because he more skills overall and more will to win.
Yes it does.

"Miguel doesn't have to worry about finding Canelo."
Yes he does. The kid is smart and can defend. Let's not forget that although he has flaws, he is a vet. I like the matchup and if Cotto loses, he should retire. Canelo is too big and strong for him and for Mayweather. He knows how to fight and cut the ring off. Furthermore, Oscar is his promoter and he spars with him from time to time; that experience is invaluable. Also remember that size negates skill.le
Size does not negate skill
Didn't Rigo prove that just two weekends ago? Didn't Pac prove that before? Ivan Calderon proved that his entire career, the list goes on. Even to an extent, USS proved that against Fury.
Miguel doesn't have to worry about finding Canelo like he did against Mayweather and Trout or getting around the guard of Clottey. Canelo is there. Canelo's showmanship is nice when Trout was throwing flicking jabs. All of Cotto's jabs come with a purpose. Canelo will be in front of him the entire time. Whether Cotto can hurt him and avoid the fight ending shots, that is the question about this fight. They'll both be tired after 8, and that's where the real test begins
Yes he does.

This doesnt sound bad, either winner of the fight will prolly look good winning, so a build up to fighting Canelo will be good, but Canelo beats them both
An entertaining, but useless right for cotto.
If cotto is ever going to fight canelo, he needs to do it asap, not allowing canelo to further develop/progress before they meet up.
No need, and what the hell has Ortiz done recently to warrant anything? I'm perfectly fine with Cotto-Canelo right away. I know Cotto lost his last two fights, but that was due to styles and also being at a size disadvantage against Trout. I know Canelo has a size advantage against Cotto, but not so much in ranginess, Cotto will get to him, it's all about whether or not Cotto can best him in close, in the exchanges, mid range, Miguel doesn't have to worry about finding Canelo. It's a damn good fight.
