And why? No simple answers, provide an intell.
Haye picking Harrison or Wlad picking Mormeck?
Both incredible cherrypicks and two fights that should have never happened IMO.
Well using that logic, you could say Haye fought the WBA #1 in Ruiz and then fought Harrison. Just saying.
I know the general consensus is that Wlad has a hard time getting fights. Maybe he should offer the opponent more than £100.000? Harrison got £1m for Haye. Could you see Wlad paying that kind of money for a voluntary?
That's one of the reasons why the Povetkin fight fell through.

Wlad fights whoever the #1 guy is always. I'm not gonna use mayweather hater logic and criticize him for that. IMO the division stin ks but wlad fights whoever stinks the least at least 2x a year so if h wanst to get a free in in a voluntary you cant get that mad.
Pianeta should be a sparring partner but Its not like wlad fought him to avoid someone.
wlad doesn't really have any choice. he fights the #1 guys and then he gets optional defenses so IMO they aren't cherrypicks.
its not wlad's fault the division is ****. all he can do is KO whichever turd that floats to the top.

Tough call. They were both inexcusable.
Haye didn't hype-up the Harrison fight. He took it because there was genuine interest in the UK. Still, he was HW champ, and broke-off negotiations with Team Klitschko to take it.
Wladimir spoke of Mormeck as a credible and dangerous opponent (the French Mike Tyson!). He's partly excused, though, because no one else wanted the fight, and he wanted to remain active.
With regards to Klitschko-Haye at that point, I believe the bros didn't want to budge on a split in favour of the Klitschkos. Haye rightly waited IMO.
So who are you picking? I chose Mormeck based on the fact that he hadn't fought in nearly two years and had only had a couple of fights at heavy.
Harrison was also a bad choice, especially considering how the fight turned out, but he was European champ and that edges it for Mormeck imo.
