Like i said later I think Floyd decided the fight would be on his terms. But in 09 a contract was drafted by Golden Boy and sent to TR and Pac. Floyd had agreed to all the terms, including the $10 million per pound over the limit clause and 50/50 split on the money. They had negotiated the OSDT and Arum had told them it was not problem. In the lawsuit the actual contract was produced. It said Floyd would walk to the ring first but Manny would be introduced first. Floyd would get the headline on the card (It would read Maywather vs. Pacquiao).
No way Golden Boy sends this contract unless Floyd had OK'd it. Arum told reporters he was taking it to Pac, when they came back the testing was suddenly an issue. After that broke down I believe Floyd didn't want the fight unless it was completely on his terms, has 50 has stated.
But once again facts are facts, contract was sent and refused. If Pac had signed it we would have had a fight, probably two or three by now.
Dude, you're missing a big point here. The reason the fight fell through was due to a cut off date by two days. There was even a mediator brought in to help get the deal made. Floyd actually walked away from the fight.
that's not what fiddy said. fiddy said floyd ducked pac

You're facts are wrong and your bias against Floyd is evident. First rd it was obviouis Floyd wanted the fight more than Manny's side, and later on, it was perfectly clear that Arum wanted no part of this. And Floyd offering Manny 40 million dollars doesn't look like such a bad offer now, does it?
Actually, my facts aren't wrong (google will help you). The first round of negotiations fell apart due to a cut off date, did you really forget that? I have no bias against anyone. I just know what NOT to do if you want to make a fight. Giving a lowball offer is one way to do and also saving face. Let's not do the hindsight thing now. At the time the offer that was made was ridiculous, and he know Manny would never have accepted that.
Floyd could have boxed Manny in though regarding the drug testing thing. He could have said that he wished to clean up the sport and he wanted to join forces with Manny and implement OSDT for their fight. There would have been no way in the world Manny could have backed out of that and Manny would have come across as the bad guy. Instead Floyd, Oscar and his father and uncle went on a smear campaign which ultimately cost them all money.
Honestly, I think you're biased and it shows because you can't look at the situation as an innocent bystander. Like I said, I think Floyd would have boxed the socks off of Manny I just wish the fight was made so we could have seen it.
Hate to say it but Pacquiao has no one to blame but himself for the fight not happening. At some point you have to man up to your promoter and tell him what you want and force him to make it happen. Manny was not a Top Rank employee, he hired Arum to promote his fights. If he really wanted it to happen it would have happened. Shame on him for letting Arum dictate his career and let him take a fraction of the money to lose to Bradley and get put to sleep by a juiced (allegedly) JMM.
Arum's old and bitter, he could care less about the money anymore, he already has more than he can spend for the rest of his days.
Facts are facts, during the lawsuit it came out that they had an agreement drafted and Floyd was scheduled to sign it as written once Pac signed. Then we started to hear about needles and cut off times.
Floyd certainly has blame as well, but if Pac signed what was originally agreed to then he could have shifted all the blame to the Mayweather camp. As its stands Pac ducked that first negotiation.
I hope you guys know this is old as hell, in all fairness Manny should have just took the fight in 09 when Floyd excepted 50/50 and only wanted rbt. Floyd ego is big as hell, he will never cave to Manny now especially after what happened to him. I hope Manny comes back though I miss the old Manny he just ain't been the same after cotto
In Floyd's defense because its only fair to say something positive about him once in a while but isn't that (after the Cotto fight) when Floyd started saying we can fight but we need random blood testing and Manny said no???? Ironic that you think he's never been the same after that fight...... Just saying
When we look back at this YEARS from now it will be revealed that Floyd ducked this fight. Some of you guys don't remember all the details but just so you know Manny agreed to testing during the FIRST negotiation. What wasn't agreed to was the cut off date. Manny wanted a 10 (or 12) day cut off but Floyd said no. Remember they even got a mediator involved to help get the fight made. So Floyd would not agree to the cut off date, but the funny thing is it was revealed later that USADA stopped testing Mosley 12 days before the their fight also.
Then there were 2nd negotiations that Ross Greenberg even confirmed but Floyd decided to go on "vacation". Then the last round of negotiations in which Floyd made a ridiculous offer knowing Manny would decline it.
It's funny how most boxers seem to agree that Floyd is the one who avoided this fight. The reason I bring this up is that most active boxers know what goes into fight negotiations. Roy Jones even said that if Floyd had intentions to fight Manny he would not have let him fight all those dangerous fights and risk his payday. Think about that for a minute. Someone who calls himself money, say he fights for money, flashes it, etc. Is presented with a 200mil offer after all is said and done, and he walks away from it.
This will follow Floyd for the rest of his career. He knows it, and so do his fans. That's why they get so worked up over this debate.
And just so you know, I am neither a Floyd or Manny fan. I am a boxing fan, and for the record I thought that Floyd would win if he had fought Manny.
-end rant.

The PEDS test was on the very first draft given to Top Rank , at the time Roach said it was not a problem , then Floyd agreed to everything they wanted including 50\50 and a stupid 10 mill weight forfeit when Floyd had never come close to missing 147 .all to try and force Floyd to back out , Floyd agreed to everything and then Team Pac said no to the blood tests , they knew about those tests from the first draft but after Floyd agreed to all their demands they then use it to run out on the back of the ped test .
Mannys side blatantly ducked the fight at that time when they were offered the best pay they were ever going to get , 50/50 with Floyd , and they knock it back , there is no doubt about it they ducked Floyd !
Yep - then Arum set up the Clottey fight within a few days (which was a bomb) because they didn't want to continue the negotiations with Floyd. Floyd was even calling Manny a "punk ass" and doing what he could to make the fight, but Arum, Roach, etc, we're all ducking for one reason or another.
Holy crap where do you get this X file stuff from.....maybe u need to watch the interview with Mosley after Vargas fight in reference to Mayweather.....also prime Cotto go read the Bob Arum interview from 2005.....ref Margarito same 2005 Bob Arum interview.
Facts: Mosley said he would not fight Mayweather due to a vacation and his tooth hurting, he also stated there was no chance for Mayweather to get a fight with him...larry merchant is asking him.
Facts: Arum said he was trying to build up Cotto more so he could have a Leonard/Duran type fight between the two. He then goes into a three fight deal he was trying to get Mayweather to sign. He said Mayweather accepted the 8 mil to fight Margarito and wanted 10 mil to fight Cotto or Hatton...Arum offered 6 mil.......Mayweather asked for 20 mil for DLH...he basically told Mayweather no...which is when Mayweather bought out his contract
Those facts always gets ignored. The first time around was the only time that the fight could had got done. PED testing by the Pac camp stopped it from happening. It doesn't erase it when years later they say they will take it (awaiting a statdium to get built also). Roach even went to say that they were not ready for a Floyd fight anyway.
After the first time for negotiations both camps have been so far apart and making so much money that the two egos won't compromise. This fight will never happen
Wow we're still debating this

look, doesn't matter if Pac accepted 50/50... floyd would've came up with something else to stop the fight
keep jerking your tiny little pecker son....50/50 was on the table for Manny to take, agreed upon and in writing. He's the one that ran away to fight Clottey after Floyd accepted his absurd weight penalty which was a ploy to get out of negotiations to begin with.
I really don't care if Floyd didn't want to give him 50/50 or anything after that. The initial negotiation after Floyd beat JMM and Manny beat Cotto is when this fight held the most meaning and also when it was actually being negotiated and close to being made and it was Manny and his crew who bowed out.
Floyd is a well known ducker not only to Pac. The fact that he faked his retirement to duck Prime younger Mosley, prime younger Cotto and prime younger Margarito tells you everything. He was called by ESPN a duck on US TV so everybody knows he is a chicken. LOL

Don't forget ring size, 8oz gloves and who comes into ring first.....Floyd met every demand and manny walked over blood tests.
Gotta love how you guys make this **** up. Floyd agrees to ALL of Mannys demands, manny walks away but Floyd is the one moving the goalposts?
Retardation at its finest
Pac is next but I never said that.
My health comes first before Pac.
I want 100% of the PPV sales.
did it ever cross your mind that maybe the fight didnt happen because pac was afraid to take the test and even you know it was not cause he was scarred of needles? you sure like to defend everything pac does but floyd its all assumptions and duck talk. floyd not pimpin himself out to every endorsement dont mean anything i dont get that argument

We believe he's not scared but that doesn't change the fact that floyd's ego is the reason we all missed out on the fight of the century.
Manny ducked the fight thats how it will go down in history because the FACTS PROVE IT !
so take 50 cent at his word for everything except when he says floyd was not scarred of manny lol give me a break wit this crap
