I don't really post much here cause I noticed a while ago a lot of u don't know much about boxing. No offense. Trout fought well and stuck to his gameplan which was use his reach and jab to keep Saul out of his punching range. Saul adapted and started retreating while bobing his head to bait trout in for counters. I was just wondering if anyone here gives Canelo any kind of credit. I know theirs a lot of Canelo haters here I wanna hear from u.
People even gave Canelo credit for finally taking a so called test to see what Canelo is really made of, or is he just hype.
So why then all of sudden not give credit for Canelo going on to win the fight is anyones guess!
Even taking the fight was worthy of credit for Canelo.
I give him credit for fighting on equal terms with a legit top fighter at 154. Doesn't change that everything about last night was complete and utter bullsh*t.
I'll have to agree with this.
He's not the second coming of Chavez (senior) as De la Hoya wants us to believe,at least I don't see that.
why not give him credit?
he failed to impress in the fight, but he won fair and square
he fought a legit JMW and won, so give him propsthe fight was just tainted by that stupid WBC scoring
exactly if he impressed you or not is a different question and i don't think anything was tainted by the scoring
2 of the scorecards were not that bad and no one was saying the rigondeaux fight was tainted by bad scoring
This was just a skills check to see how he would do against a good southpaw, i guess erislandy Lara is not gettin a shot if he wins because he would rain jabs nd left's on cinnamons face lmao

I give him credit. I scored it for Trout but I could understand scoring it for Canelo.
Sometimes I might mess with diehard Canelo fans saying he "dominated"
I am a big Canelo fan and a Trout fan as well. I give both fighters credit for their excellent performances. They both showed courage, heart, smarts and skill. I think Canelo's hard accurate combinations to the head and body and the wicked knock down earned him a close but clear win over Trout.

Don't worry, canelo could ko floyd and the haters wouldn't give him credit, because they are sad losers keyboard warriors that are jealous of anyone that achieve something in life and want to discredit and shoot someone down once they reach the top, this site is full of complete dumbasses ....END OF THREAD
I give him credit as I expected Trout with longer reach to outbox, frustrate and land good clean shots on a forward pressing Canelo. Impressed Canelo although I felt he could have done more as could have Trout.
I was pretty astonished about what a great fight it turned out to be, both fighters were game and have nothing to be ashamed of. Canelo did more, landed the cleaner and more effective punches. Granted at least two of the three judge's score cards leave something to be desired, but it deserves a rematch maybe? I wasn't giving Canelo much credit before this but I give him more now. I'm not ready to anoint him as the next "Mayweather killer," I think that's bad luck, look what happened to the last one. But I will say he has a future in the sport if he remains dedicated......
I'll give him credit for the win, he beat a good fighter. Though I scored the fight for Trout, but neither guy really impressed me at all. I left the fight feeling underwhelmed by both guys.
how did you have Trout winning when he was missing 50 jabs per round? the dancer was being out danced by a COMPLETE fighter!
It was a very good win for Canelo but the scores were ridiculously wide. I was at the fight and everyone around me thought it was a close fight. Canelo had the crowd with him but a lot of people in the Alamodome thought Trout was only one or two points behind even after the knockdown.
Also people need to remember he is only 23 years old. Was Floyd, or Pac, or ODL a finished product at that age? He is showing improvements every fight, most notably with his patience and head movement.
All things considered it was a very good night for Canelo. I think one PPV under his belt and Floyd will have no excuses, though he will throw up many road blocks.
I believe Trout won 1 to 3 rounds max, including the last round. Canelo is a boss, deal with it! XD
