been watching more and more tape of this guy......maybe it's because he's trying to make weight but my main beef with him is that he's WAY too inactive and relies on his punching boxer way too much. He tries to explode and take you out with a combo and fights in spurts. He also doesn't cut the ring off and use his jab too do so....he fights so slow like he has lead in his feet to me he's shown me nothing more than a good fighter who's flawed....I see an easy Trout UD maybe stop him on swellling or cuts if I'm wrong I'm wrong and maybe he impressees me but nothing he's done as impressed me.
I would love to see the Miguel Vazquez video and what he did to neutralize Vazquez's offense(Granted Canelo still probably had his typical size advantage).
Never seen them, but I heard both fights were disputable and closer than the cards.
Had a draw at JWW in his debut and a decision at JMW (closer to WW tho)
Don't know what the scores were. I want to see that fight and the Bradley fight
canelo's defense is atrocious, but for some reason at first i kept picturing him just throwing these left hands(jab, left hook- body and head) to set up a straight right that would equal money despite him not showing it vs any southpaw and not having any footage of him vs a southpaw(atleast any worth anything, except the sparring one where he's just eating jabs for half an hour before deciding to punch)
but now, i dunno, trout should have most of the advantages, canelo is a mystery going into this fight, why it makes it hard for me too choose a winner
I don't think anyone calls him special? he's a good boxer for his age with basically no am experience. the great part is well be able to see where he is at saturday.
Haha clearly you haven't been around here that much bro. People think he could actually beat Mayweather. I watch the film and I'm just like no way in hell.
But you are right, all questions will be answered in a couple of days.
Watch the Gomez fight. Whenever Gomez threw the jab downstairs, he was able to landed the right hand on Canelo upstairs. I know that Trout is a southpaw, but If he can keep the fight on the outside and circles out whenever Canelo gets closer, he'll win it. Canelo isn't that hard to outbox, but he has good timing and can catch his opponents with multiple thunderous head and body combos in spurts. Trout must throw the jab to the body early on as he did against Cotto.

So in other words, by your logic, if Canelo wins hes crap but if Canelo loses hes crap?
trout is a a very solid professional boxer at 154 lbs so based on my post were did you get the idea that canelo beating trout means canelo is crap? :dunno: i dont think you used any logic to reach that assumption after reading my post:dunno:
if canelo beats trout then we all know canelo is more than hype because he just beat trout. a solid pro that fights in his own division
his youth will be a negativein this fight. he's never faced someone like trout, never. trout has seen it and sparred with guys like canelo his whole careeer.
Trout has only really beaten cotto, who simply was simply too small and gassed after 8
Other then cotto, trout hasn't really fought anyone great and is very similar to Canelo
His boxing IQ and he does some little things for his age that impresses me(He's really good at turning his opponents), but as a whole package I have to agree with OP. Been watching a lot of film as well on him recently and I can't see why anyone would think Floyd would duck this kid(Now Trout is a different story).
He has power, but when he throws it looks his feet are stuck in cement. He looks so stiff and unfluid to me, also as previously mentioned he is a spurt fighter that is still known to have stamina issues(When you take breaks in a fight and still tire late something is horribly wrong especially against the caliber of opponents he's fought in his career thus far).
I feel the same exact way about canelo
he fights in spurts and if he was as good as people say i just dont see why he couldnt have kept ryan rhodes and matt hatton from seeing the 12 round.
those are fights he is dominating but he still paces himself???
going into this match if you look at their resumes trout should be the betting favorite
trouts wins over delvin rodriguez and cotto > canelo resume
when trout beats canelo you canelo fan boys will understand. you guys get all twisted trout is a very solid professional maybe in the future he will prove he is better than that
people saying trout will beat canelo arent saying trout is the best thing since sliced bread but that he is good enough to beat canelo and it is actually you canelo fan boys that are indirectly inflating how good trout is or has to be to beat canelo
because you guys have inflated interpretation of how good canelo is and cant fathom anyone less than exceptional beating him because you guys believe canelo is an exceptional talent
but come saturday night trout will show you guys were canelo standsSo in other words, by your logic, if Canelo wins hes crap but if Canelo loses hes crap?
thats deep

Not everyone can see talent. Besides having a unique blend of power and speed to his size, a rather good ring iq, and havinh near 40 fights at 21/22 years of age. How is he not impressive?
I don't know, maybe cause he's never fought a real 154 lber.

Rigo had around 400 fights, dominated a top 5 fighter in the pro's and some still aren't impressed by that.
It's not hard to be unimpressed by a pampered fighter who's only now fighting 1 of his divisions best.

2 days till we see! Im excited! Future of the sport is arriving Sat night so get ready
Canelo/Trout and NBA Playoffs. I wish everyday could be like this Saturday.
from what i have seen from canelo i have always thought he fights in spirts and always thought that when he lost that would be the reason but to me trout is a very very slow starter so thats why i still see the fight being close score wise
so since you hate canleo the most. When he beats trout on saturday will you still hate him? What are you gonna say then?
I've said quite a few times that if canelo wins Saturday, I'm on board. The real question is when Trout beats canelo down, are you gonna pull out the same bag of excuses haters used against Rigo??
Oh yeah, There's "No Doubt" about that!!:boxing:
