Would Rigondeaux's next fight sell a lot better in Miami Fla, than in any other city/state? Would a unification bout between him and Johnathan Romero make sense in any possible way?
I'm glad he's planning on staying at 122; jumping from division to division without cleaning any out is overrated.
Looks like you haven't seen the other thread, where they say Rigo might fight Mikey Garcia at 126.
Rigondeaux don't have to just fight in the US, he is not afraid to Travel, he traveled to Willie Casey back yard and destroyed him in front of his fans
So it is not like he is just looking to fight in the US, if he has to go overseas for bigger paydays then I think he would have no problem doing that
That's great for Rigo, but not great for me. lol I want to see "El Chacal" fight in Miami sometime. I agree, Guille can fight in Europe (or elsewhere overseas) and make money.

will be watched by 45-50 people, tops. and they will all fall asleep.
At least 54 or so if you count their cornermen who will also unfortunately fall asleep. Then 55 if you count me falling asleep reading about the fight.
lol :haha:
Rigo just beat a top P4P fighter at Radio City. You can believe that the Cuban community in Miami, who doesn't normally take note of Cuban defectors, has taken notice. Before Donaire, I would've said Guillermo draws flies. After Nonito, I believe a card can be built and sold in South Florida, with "El Chacal" as the headliner. Everyone loves a winner...everyone.
great post ..... i live in miami and we are horrible sport fans unless we are ****ing winning lol with the marlins looking dreadful football not close ,heat going to playoff already ... when the time rigo fights it be perfect timing! bring gamboa (peds) on the undercard baby!!!!!!!! let 50 cent do his lil weak concert hahaha ... one thing miami is good for are big events and love winning but sadly the fight will bring 105 people and the 5 will be my group hahaha
Apparently his manager wants Carl Frampton. Fighting Romero would make sense for Rigondeaux, it would put another belt around his waist but I doubt either fight would make a lot of money. After fighting and beating Donaire either of those fights would be a step down in class imo.
I am thinking maybe he should eye a fight at featherweight.
His management said he will not be fighting at 126. They said he was fought at 122 for the last 10years and has no plans what so ever in moving up.
I say he gets the rest of belts and establishes a good fan base in Miami and fights there for the next 4-6 and retires. He will sort of be like a chris John. he makes really good money fighting bums in Indonesia.
Also whoever he fights next is going to be a step down in class cause he just beat the top guy at 122.
