Why didnt he do it anyway even if pac doesnt?
angel heredia did say that any fighter working with him must submit to all year round testing...so much for that. but marquez should just do all year round testing like donaire is doing to show that what he and heredia are doing is clean...
If Manny has a problem with using USADA then ok, that is perfectly fine. I don't get why he would but let's let him slide on that one.
Why won't he use VADA though?
He doesn't need to anymore. He had numerous opportunities to prove he could beat Floyd, beat the test, and be a hero. He chose the less money route to a KO.
I don't think its weird at all.
Especially when the fans don't decide a thing other than whether they will pay for tickets and/or PPV.
Donaire campaign has nothing to do with anything other than the fact that Mr BALCO himself, Victor Conte, is his nutritionist.
The entire purpose of testing was to present an equal playing field. When only one fighter takes the tests, it does nothing but waste money.
Its not about reputation. That's where you got off track from the beginning. Its about a fair playing field. One has nothing to do with the other unless you are a public relations agent or a journalist.
And the bolded is all I need to know about his year round testing.
Donaire might be some sort of "out" for people , but remember his stance when he had everything to lose against Rigondeaux. No test for BOTH fighters, no fight. At the top of the sport, ALL participants in big matches should set the example. You should be prepared to give your opponent the peace of mind you seek. Simple as, really.
So far Pacquiao has only ever paid lip service to more stringent testing. Thread simply asks if he will continue to do so. Opinions on that............
The tests have a purpose.
If only one fighter takes the tests, it defeats the purpose.
And you question asks why not do it for the hell of it?
So you are in favor of doing things that serve no purpose and make no sense?
Surely it makes you a more legitimate fighter, and makes you win more legitimate, as well as setting an example to the fighter you are facing. I think it's pretty weird to argue taking the test serves no purpose, on your own or not. It's a benefit to prove to your fans you have nothing to hide. It isn't going to make a difference to the way you fight.
You think Donaire's campaign on this matter serves no purpose? Sometimes everything isn't about yourself, and it makes me worry when people can't see anything different.
At this point I doubt it, most boxers are doing it now and even more would be doing so in the near future, in 10-20 years the testing procedure would be the norm (Randomly) implemented by the commissions around the world and a mandatory ban would be impose on people who fail their test (Zero excuses).
He will if hes obliged to.
He's only doing what nearly every other boxer does regarding testing. But because it's Pacquiao, it automatically means hes juicing
Maybe he felt PAC was trying to accuse him of juicing up and since that's how he most like pot felt he told him he'd do it if PAC did it as well. One guy shouldn't have to only do it it goes both ways. PAC doesn't run **** if he wants Marquez to take it he'd have taken it himself. Your question should be why did PAC refuse to testing? Again
why give him the peace of mind if he wont test I know I wouldn't
Floyd's pretty smart though. He came out with intention of catching all of these foreign cheaters but ended up catching his own stablemates, his own sparring partners, his own friends, and even his father's own fighters. :lol1:
:unitedsta
To prove that he's clean?
He makes millions a fight, im sure he can afford testing
brah he would be weakened by needles where as pac would not, it wouldnt be fair. It takes atleast 14 days to recover from needles, ask freddy roach.
So why doesnt he just get himself tested:dunno:
You have been given several reasons why he shouldn't have to. Apparently they aren't good enough for you but that's cool.
However, the topic of this thread is whether or not Pac will ever test with USADA or VADA. What is your opinion on that? I don't think you mentioned it yet.

it cost money to do this test, that's why it is voluntary, why should he pay for his test and get a needle in him and just let Pac go without? I believe if they both agreed maybe just maybe Top Rank would of put the money for it, remember they both want as much money as possible in this point of their careers so even if it is just a thousand or 2 it just adds up with all the other fees and % they pay along with the tax.

Probably because it shows a double standard and a lack of a level playing field for only one guy to do it and not both.
How is that a double standerd? By calling it a double standard and saying it shows a lack of a playing level field, you are implying that you dont care if JMM is using PEDs if Pac is.
Nonito has been doing it for over a year now, has he been fighting on an unfair playing field? Marquez has taken as much extra testing as pac. This is a point i always make. NOTHING stops any fighter from being test years round, but only 1 fighter does it. At this point, "proving yourself clean" comes down to personal responsibility and only 1 person has taken that responsibility :dunno:
