I think Rigo's win over Doniare is much better than anything on Floyd's resume. Prime, p4p, elite counter puncher, with the ability to KO with his first shot. Also came into the fight bigger than Rigo. Did I forget to mention, PRIME.
Genaro: Saw the fight. Genaro was old, and was tailor made for Floyd. Just because you're a big name doesn't mean styles don't make fights.
Manfredy: Rigo would tool a guy like Manfredy at 122.
Corrales: Same ****, different toilet
Gatti: Ni99a please. A washed up, past prime Gatti equals a great win to you?
Judah: Another guy that has a major flaw, that Floyd exploited, and had trouble with in the first 3-4 rounds. Imagine Rigo being Floyd in the fight. Judah wouldn't be so brash and ****y in the first few rounds, because he'd get hit back with a bazooka left.
Baldomir: You just listed him to list him huh?
DLHYA: Past prime, and not even ranked P4P.
Hatton: Dude was already exposed by Collazo the second he moved up to 147. Tons of people were saying he's not a 147 fighter.
Marquez: Blown up 2 weight classes, and Floyd still didn't make the weight.
Mosley: Past prime, made Floyd do the stanky leg, but still a good fight for Floyd. I'll give him that.
Ortiz: Ortiz can't even fight going backwards, and he wouldn't be coming forward on Rigo like he did with Floyd. Rigo's power P4P much better than Floyd's. People fear that power.
Cotto: Washed the fugg up, and war torn like a Vietnam vet. The fight was at 154 as well. Cotto wasn't the same lean, mean fighting machine he was at 147.
this is all you need to know about floyd's resume:
1. His best win is diego corrales.
2. He has never faced a legit, bona fide hall of fame fighter in their prime.
So how much is that worth greatness wise in comparisons to other legendary fighters on the ATG list?
Good question. I'd say it's like comparing a Honda Civic to most ATG's Ferraris.
Excellent post. Not brainwashed by certain posters on this site, and the media.

Firstly I have seen you in other threads saying "these guys were tailor made for Floyd". Every guy Floyd has fought has had a different style, it is not his fault that he is effective up against most styles. There aren't a great many styles that trouble Floyd.
Secondly, why are you constantly comparing Rigo to Floyd and posting about it every 2 minutes? They are different boxers with different styles and different careers (both of which are among the most decorated in boxing today). You keep saying that Rigo is faster and has faster feet etc when he is 122 and Floyd is 147 so of course Rigo is faster, what does that have to do with anything? I just don't understand your motivation here.
Rigo's win over Donare is better than anything Floyd has ever done in boxing, PERIOD.

Tell that to Christian Mijares... you remember, that pure boxer guy that was on everyones p4p list that Darchinyan outboxed?
Another good point made by you.
its not a shame...i mean he is 32...Floyd at that age didnt jump weightclasses either...you cant count weighing in @ 150 for a LM fight jumping a weightclass...Rigo is really really small...the chances of him going down to 118 are bigger than him going to 126...but im hoping also that he after he totally cleans the division out try his luck in another division too but if not i wont be mad...Hagler is a ****in ATG and he "only" fought @ MW...
Excellent points Mr. Snipes.
maybe, maybe not, depends on how you see it. What we can hope best is that rigondeaux will also rise thru the weight classes and dominate and chase greatness in the pros just like floyd did. I'd mention it again, if skills pays the bills and rigo has it, so why not right?
I hope he doesn't stay at 122 til he retires, otherwise what a shame.
He won't even be mention at the same breath as floyd 50 years from now if that's whats going to happen.

Its the worst kept secret in the world that Floyd isnt the best fighter in the sport of boxing.
Rigo beating Donair has made Rigo leap above Donaire on the basis of one fight. Therefore he should leap above Floyd as Donaire is better than anyone Floyd has ever fought.
Floyds supposed to be the best fighter in the world, yet Canelo and Trout are facing harder opponents than Floyd is. SSM is facing harder opponents than Floyd. SSM fought Canelo didnt he, yet Floyd can fight the likes of Guerrero?
Precisely. Floyd's whole mystique is a fraud. It's disgusting.
SO... lets follow your logic.
The Donaire win is = to the Corrales win...
But... if Donaire is much greater than Corrales... by your own admission... how does that make sense?
I don't understand that myself.

Rigo is 32, and is already doing what people praise Floyd for. Fighting at a higher weight class than he should be, and coming in much smaller than his opponent on fight night.
I think it's legendary stuff, the fact that he comes in the same weight on fight night, and utterly outclasses a bigger, prime, p4p fighter, with a counter punching style, and concussive KO power.

Floyd mostly beat good fighters who were at the tail end of their career to make a name for himself. But once FLoyd became a name he did as little as he could get away with, and he wont allow people to make a name off of him. People want to fight him but he puts his hand up talk to the hand cos the face aint listening.
Theres a saying becoming a champ is the easy part, staying there is the hard part. Floyd tries making staying there as easy as he can get away with, by either ducking, or not fighting.
If Floyd fought every six months or so, those fighters he faced, he would get more credit for it than he does. But having the luxury to fight when he wants to does make who he beats easier.
Absolutely agree. When you really break it down. That's all Floyd's done his whole career.
Rigo beats a prime, p4p fighter, with counter punching and KO power, while FLoyd fights a bunch of guys that are either tailor made for him, or at the tail end of their careers.
Simple and plain.

I'm unveiling the truth on Floyd's "smoke and mirrors" resume. You seem to never leave these threads, so I think you have a deep infatuation with defending Floyd like he's your master.
Which he is.
What.....man you need a small dose of reality. You're getting weird on here.
