I think the point is that the people here seem to have spoken. If manny were still the draw and had reason to get more, then I would say so... even though I myself don't like him. Being biased is one thing... being a ridiculous worshipper of another human being is completely another.
In terms of seats, when Manny is matched with Marquez, the majority are pro Marquez.
Yea you right about seats ...there way more Mexicans then Filipinos anywhere in America but PPV sales PAC has a much bigger # and that what really matter PPV sales
I think alot of posters here will be loved in the boxing game...
You can beat someone 4 times and still take less money??? I would love to get in on that action.
He didn't beat PAC four times just once ..PAC beat him twice and the first time was an error on the judged part they didn't even PAC a extra point for one of the knock down...don't cry about a robbery those fight was to close to call it a robbery....we seen much worst "robbery" in boxing
It doesn't matter what we think, there is now way in hell I would take less than 50% from a guy that I just knocked out and outboxed 4 times.
Let talk FACTS here he did not out box him four times out of the four fight jmm lost 2 and the first fight was a DRAW (even tho someone messed up on a score card and didn't give PAC the extra score for the knock down) he KO him once in the last fight
the poll is only right when youre using emotions instead of common sense and basic math...
Dude, look at your sig, you're biased... you cannot make a real clear case for JMM getting at least 50/50. Either deal with it, or manny can find someone else. Why hasn't he ever fought Bradley again? He could get the bigger purse in that fight. I personally feel that Bradley outboxes him if they fight again. manny is done and people need to accept that and encourage his retirement.
If Marquez fights anybody else, I agree.
However, if Marquez fights Pac, the bigger draw will be Marquez due to the fact that everybody would want Pac to get revenge.
Add to the fact that he really has no desire to fight Pac, they got to reach his price.
that's a speculation , a gut feeling , a baseless theory, a wishful thinking ...
No. Marquez is still nowhere near the draw Pacquiao is.

lol they should both have a ppv the same day to see how each does than just do that as a split. I personally think Marquez deserves atleast 50/50.
He just Ko'ed him after all lol Marquez doesn't need this fight Pacquiao does.
And this is from a Pacquiao fan
Buster Douglas got a 75/25 split with Holyfield. If HBO take 50% for both PPV it becomes irrelevant to any discussion because the percentage is the same. Almost every title fight is 72/25, that counts as "usually".
buster douglas was just coming off his ko win over mike tyson while hollfield was just making cruiserweight money.. you said "usually but the only examples you have are from a long time ago and pretty self explanatory why they got the bigger cut...
it's not relevnat when comparing ppvs numbers ONLY but thats not what we are doing here , we are trying to justify whether or not not jmm deserves 50/50 split...you cant use the ppv total , you can only use the the money being splitted between the 2....
thats just one fight (you said ususally)and holyfield was a very good draw himself...not to mention the difference was not so much bigger...

It would be nice if boxing worked that way but it doesn't. Pacquiao is a much, much bigger draw than JMM. If Marquez goes and does 500k plus with Bradley then he'll have a negotiating position.
for real .. people who are saying jmm should get 50/50 are using their hearts and not their brains....
It's not relevant when comparing PPV numbers because the percentage taken would be the same. It's not hard to understand, why are you having such difficulty?
Any fight where the bigger draw was a mandatory, Holyfield-Tyson for example, Tyson was a bigger draw but Holyfield had the larger purse split.

youre right the 1. 4 being the 3rd fight ... it is releventa when your usuing the TOTAL ppv sales.. coz thats not the money that pac and jmm would be splitting , only a portion of that...
ofcourse.. name me a fight in which the clear bigger draw got less because he was fighting a champion...

Buster Douglas made $24 million and Holyfield made 8 (75/25), Holyfield was a bigger draw.
70 Marquez -30 Pacquiao
Marquez is in the hot seat but this time his special Scientist should not be used to condition him so that he is miraculously the Incredible Hulk with superior punching power at 30+ years this late in his career...

It happened to Mosley and BHop...
If Marquez is asking for 50-50 then that is extremely reasonable. He beat the guy almost 4x and almost killed him in 6 rounds in their last fight. They are lucky Marquez is not asking for what he really deserves which is 55-45 or 60-40. Marquez no longer needs Pacquiao, he outboxed him a couple fights and knocked him out in a war. In 2004-2008 they showed they were pretty evenly matched, but in 2011-2012 Marquez showed he's the man of the two.
Marquez has Bradley and Alvarado would would be really good fights, especially Alvarado. Pacquiao is being lined up to fight a pack of losers probably.
the poll is correct in saying that if you are a manny fan he should get more... period. There aren't very many "fans of just boxing" in here. There is a difference in who is the draw and who is fighting to get their name back. Personally, I see no need for a 5th fight, as I don't care to see manny take anymore punches. Retire while you can, hopefully without brain damage.

Pac-JMM 4 was 1.1 mil, Pac-JMM 3 was 1.4. The HBO cuts etc would be the same percentage for either PPV so they have no relevance.
