A lot of people actually, including expert analysts. EVERYONE knew he had skills, but the question was, will his mainly amateur background be a detriment to him in the pros???
That was the biggest question.
everyone that is in love with knockouts which included you, even after the fight you had expert/analyst upset becasue i guess donaire didn't knock him out.
i'm not sure if you and many others knew he had the skills that he has probably because you only paid attention to 1 thing the left hook that hurt rigo but in that same fight rigo pretty much dominated every second of that fight.
it wasn't so much about rigo amateur career it was more about you and others believing donaire could just run thru anyone because he hit hard yet seem to not pay attention to the fact that donaire had close fights with vasquez and mathebula and was starting to become more of a head hunter
:lol1: Just as I thought.
My post about his Amatuer career had nothing to do with his ability to transition as a Pro.
You've just won a medal of valor. I applaud you.
who was knocking him for that?you and all the other recent rigo bandwagon riders?some of us have eyes and knew rigo had skills unlike you who was talking about how donaire was going to take rigo head off and how rigo was chinny

Rigo's only knock was the fact that he had a bunch of fights in the amateurs, but not the pros. People didn't think that could translate against Donaire.
Guess what, that wasn't the case.

I'll ask you again,
What does this have to do with anything I said?
 What does this have to do with anything I said?

When is it going to sink in that what someone does in the Amateur career is irrelevant to what they do in their pro career?
Will it ever?
The same thing they said about Rigo/Donaire, and look what happened.
But you're completely disregarding his am career in saying that where he was simple irresistibly dominant. Beat the likes of Gamboa, mares, Russell jr with ease, total breeze. The guy is just a winner plain and simple.

Yo're arguing that one win over Donaire makes Rigondeaux greater than Mayweather dominating for 15 years in 5 weight classes. Rigondeaux will probably be the favorite in any fight now, just like Mayweather is. The last time Floyd was even considered the underdog or a push them was Corrales.
Mayweather is held to a level that the guy has to fight 160 lb fighters, when the most he's weighed is 151, so that he can supposedly be in a real fight. We're not talking about that with Rigondeaux yet.
I haven't seen people so drunk off a recent win since.....probably Donaire-Montiel.
You didn't just see the Rigo/Garcia thread, and people favoring Rigo???

No. I'm arguing that his win over Donaire, shows he has slightly better skills than Floyd. I never put Rigo #1 P4P.
This is clearly evident, by what the hell I'm posting.
But JMM wasn't fighting at his natural weight class, and Marquez wasn't prime nor is his skill set as dangerous as Donaire's. He has the counter punching, but he doesn't have the same speed, footwork, or 1 punch concussive KO power that Donaire has relative to his weight class.
Oh, but I thought we were talking about 130 Floyd??? And guess what, like I said earlier, Rigo is 32. He's doing what Floyd's doing right now. Fighting at a weight class he's small for, and just dominated another bigger P4P, PRIME, elite counter puncher with KO power.
So what's your point? Floyd climbing weight classes at an earlier age means nothing, when Rigo is at that stage in his career, where he's doing the same thing as Floyd, but he just did it to a PRIME, P4P fighter.

Yeah right there was nothing but butt hurt Pac fans looking to discredit Mayweather trying to vote for Rigo, and all the Rigo fans too. And You guys stilll lost haha
Go into any Floyd thread. The ALTs outmatch anyone 4-1.
Marquez is greater than Donaire, by far. And though at the time that fight was whack because we didn't know Marquez could fight at Welterweight, and now we do know.

But you're comparing a guy who beat the best guy in one weight class, and that has gotten one good win, to someone who's beaten high ranked fighters in 5 weight classes, 4 fighters that were in the Top 10 P4P, and as it stands 12 fighters who were either Top 3 at the weight/Top 10 P4P fighters.

No need to cheerlead anything. The poll result spoke for itself :D
Is that supposed to mean something? Floyd has dickriders and ALTs oozing from every corner of NSB. Rigo has a small Cuban fan base. The fact that he got that many votes is a victory.
Please. JMM was nowhere near as used to WW, when he fought Floyd.
Except Rigo's, Pernell's, SRL, Duran, SRR, Tommy Hearns, list goes on, and to be quite honest, he's never even fought a guy like Donaire.
When did he fight a Donaire caliber fighter at 130/135??? His supposed "best" weight classes.
So Maruqez was used to Welterweight when he beat Manny arguably twice??? Get out of here.
Donaire has 5-6 good wins, he's a Top P4P fighter, he'll probably end up in the hall of fame.

You should read my post before that again and come back.
Difference between you and me. I don't need to swoop into a debate like a side linde cheerleader. I go mano y mano.
