^^^YES!!!! Donaire's eyes lit up after Rigondeaux initated that very first exchange where they both stood toe-to-toe and let their handa go - Rigondeaux knocked Donaire's ass into the ropes remember. The power and skill of Rigondeaux made Donaire's confidence evaporate and his insecurity made him gunshy because he knew by round two he was facing a mobile missile command which could take him out in Pacquaioesque fashion if he got overly aggressive
I lost all respect for Donaire man... I don't think he treated Rigondeaux seriously enough and I don't think he prepared as well as he could have.
When you bring that Filipino flag with you into the ring, you're not just representing yourself, but all of us. You have to fight like your life depends on it, and I just don't think Donaire took that responsibility seriously.
And making excuses after he clearly got his ass whooped just makes him look even more of a *****.
Everytime Pacquaio walked into that ring with our flag, he understood the responsibility, and everytime he fought, he fought for all of us, he fought like his life depended on it.
That's why Pacquiao is a legend and Donaire is not.
Good post, man. I completely understand.
It's because of guys like the interviewer (DSource in this case) who are constantly doing the long stroke on these fighters, that when they lose they don't have a clue of what reality really is. The people around Khan and Rios are famous for it too. They got people around them ALL the time diddling their egos, so when they lose, these same people are right there baking up excuses FOR them and pretty soon they end up buying the sh*t they've been slatherin on them for so long. And then when these fighters go back and watch a replay, they got these same nut fondlers sittin right next to them telling them how it's the mysterious guy in the black hats fault that they lost.
It's a shame that so many of these good fighters have been sheltered from reality with too many strokers around them all the time, that they lose sight of what's real and what's not. Those kind of people aren't doin them any favors, in REAL life anyway.
Pathetic. He should handle his lost better then this. You only won 2-3 rounds top dude. His style is what it is and what you should have expected. Another Garcia trained fighter crying like a little puss over getting outboxed.
Mayweather-Marquez (#2)
Mayweather-Mosley (#3)
Tyson-Douglas :lol1:
There's been a few but he's in short company.
To be fair I don't really count JMM vs Floyd or Dawson vs Ward because of the weight issues.
Marquez was moving up 2 weight classes and he certainly looked like a 135 fighter not a WW.
In Ward vs Dawson is was also very clear that Dawson was completely drained.
In this fight there were 2 fighters in equal circumstances, they were the best fighters at 122 pounds. Nonito said a lot of excuses but the truth is that he wasn't saying any of them when we was beating fighters and now that he loses it turns out that he was drained, had a shoulder injury and according to the interviews he believes he won (pretty pathetic btw)
When was the last time a top P4P fighter was so outclassed like that?

At least would've been a draw and if someone was going to win that fight it was going to be him?
And then after saying that shit he says that he doesn't want to be a sore looser? God damn.
Just pathetic...
Calslappy vs Lacy?
Some guys felt Lacy was p4p but not as high as Donaire
A lot more punishing but same level of out classing
Not a single list had Jeff Lacy in the Top 10 P4P list.
Basically every time they engaged Rigo got the most decisive shot in. It was surreal to see him countering Donaire's counters with such speed, authority, precision and ease. I've never seen a fighter so completely in control against such a lethal threat. Rigo = Neo.
Not only that, he often finished with a brutal body shot after he countered.
hahahahaha lol they say Rigondeaux was running hahahahaha lol but Nonito was running like a pussssy that last round when he was losing every round lol, his face was all beat up, but Rigon was running lol!!!!
Filipinos have nobody left
Pacquiao knocked the fvck out Mercito Gesta skooled by another Mexican just like Pacquiao lol, n now Nonito has been skooled silly hahahahahaha
He was acting very childish in his Twitter responses during the whole Mares contractual dispute, so it doesn't surprise me he'd respond to a defeat like this.
This doesn't surprise me in the least bit. It appeared to me that even in the 12th and final round Donaire appeared broken and was looking for a convenient way to check out.
Had that punch landed several rounds earlier; I'm more than convinced that he would have used it as an excuse to not continue the fight and retire on his stool, since he was being schooled so badly.

Rigo was very "Matrix-like" throughout the fight. It was only in the final round that he started to miss with some big shots. "Chacal" smelled blood and was unloading with some bombs. Nonito was fortunate none of those landed; he was on the precipice.
you can also make a case for Dawson-Ward if you rated Dawson highly...
Dawson had the edge through the first two. He collapsed like a house of cards after Ward took over. Donaire isn't as mentally weak as Chad Dawson. Not even close. This was pure unadulterated physical dominance on the part of Rigo. Donaire had the heart and the sensibility to try and change things and there was nothing could do. Nothing.

thumb in the eye, sore shoulder, not a good training camp, trouble with weight, cant focus with pregnant wife...did I miss any?
He should have kept his comments to his very first statement in his Kellerman interview. Everything he said after the second question was bull---- and could have been kept to himself. Now he's complaining about being thumbed in the eye . . . the same eye he was taunting Rigo about at the weigh-in staredown . . . the very same eye Rigo would have probably cracked earlier than the last round if Donaire hadn't been so cautious, confused and conservative before the championship rounds?
Does anyone here believe that Donaire would have finished the fight had his eye gotten busted open in round 8 rather than 12? After the first four rounds it was only a matter of time in my opinion and Donaire probably knew what Rigo was capable of too :boxing:
That's why Donaire was so cautious as Max Kellerman so astutely pointed out at the beginning of round six remember?
Donaire has a excuse for everything even after a win. Last year Arum fed Donaire easy fights so he can look spectacular in and he only was able to KO Arce and Nishioka, worse thing Donaire won 2012 fighter of the year just for the simple fact he fought 4 times in a year which is so rare now in Boxing that they made it a big deal. When he fought a threat like Rigondeaux which he was forced to fight because Bob Arum had no more options for Donaire, Rigo took him to school.
Donaire..... RIGO TU PAPA HIJEPUTA!!!!!
