Just wanted to share the weekend from a fans perspective in a quick summary.
Special Shutout to Angry Cuban, CubanNYC and BrickCity, you never know who is behind the keyboard but all of them are solid guys and we shut Radio City Down that Night!!
On Friday ME and my boy Cameron headed to the weigh in as soon as we got there 1:55 pm we were told by a security guard that unless we knew someone on the inside or were on a list we wouldn't be allowed in and that this was not a public weigh in. I told him that it was non-sense because even donaire was inviting fans on his twitter and we got in a back and forth argument, but I simply told him it was OK and that I would make a call. Cam called out homie Paddy from Rigondeaux Management Team and he came down stairs and too care of the situation. As soon as we got up they were already doing the face off and as soon as Rigo got off stage he was swarmed by media members on the side of the stage that we were at. I met Yordenis Ugas and Pedro Diaz which were both really cool cats.

We met with CubaNYC and he took us to one of the best cuban restaurants that I have ever been to without a doubt. And then he took us walking all around Manhattan the guy knows Manhattan like its the palm of his hand. Very solid Cat cuban nyc it was like we had known each other our whole lives. After that we met at the bar at 9 pm with Paddy and one of Malinaggi's closest friends and we spent the rest of the night drinking shout out to paddy one of the wildest dudes that I have ever met.
On fight Night we met outside of radio city music hall with CubaNYC with his friend and angry cuban with his cousin. Angry Cuban is wild cat bro cool as the other side of the pillow without a doubt. As we walked in guys were making jokes like who is donaire fighting again who who some other guy said he put 5k on donaire and the other guy chanted thats a safe bet lol (poor guy) We went in watched the fight and even though it was only like 11 cubans in out section we shut that down!! I was actually warned by an usher to turn it down lol what a lame. There was this guy that kept saying he is a 4 round fighter!!! every 2 seconds. CubaNYC then says is the 11th round bro what are you talking about. lol Anyways when the card were anounced we went wild took a few pics I stood in front of everybody raising that cuban flag against the crowd for like 5 minutes while all these sad faces looked upon.

Shout out to the Mexican fan behind us that was screaming "Vamos Chacal" every 2 seconds.
When we got out of the venue people were giving us props, we met with brickcity another wild dude for sure and we celebrated. Boricuas would chant "Cuba" as we walked down the streets and we would reply doing the same. And yeah a bunch of nonito fans just staring at us. After that We went to the bar and partied it was such a family atmosphere we were all buying drinks for each other lke we were family and killed it.

Great report! Nothing better than going to the fights and having your guy kill it. Congrats.
It was awesome. There were definitely more Filipino fans there than Cubans. There were a lot of blank faces as I jumped up and down like a maniac when they read Rigo's name as the winner! :lol1:

haha that's hilarious
It sounded like a great weekend
Cool recap of the fight. Hopefully Rigo fights in Miami in Marlins Park where he will sell more tickets than the Marlins, a Rigo/Darchinyan fight is a good fight. Arum doesn't like the fact that now he has to set up a fan base for Rigo here in Miami, if he has so much trouble to promote let him go from his contract and let GBP sign him so we get Rigo/Mares.
It's good to see Cuban boxers shine, these guys go through hell to get here in the states to fight for their family back in Cuba. You guys didn't see Cepillo and Garbey out there?
yeah cepillo, garbey, ugas , marroquin and livan hernandez were all in rigos squad
i agree i think right now is the perfect time to put rigo in a main event in miami
filipinos were deep as fok out there , but without a doubt rigotards were way wilder we shut our section down for sure. There were def cubans out there but nothing compared to filis
My boy didn't mention the Pino's. I'm sure they was out in force but probably went un noticed due to not having much to cheer for.

lol......I saw you. I was in 1st mez 4 but I was in row K and I was in the 1st seat on the opposite side. It was kinda hard to look across and tell which seats were which exactly but I kinda pinned it down to you guys. The only thing was that I thought you were Cam because your seat was #12 and thats where he was sitting at.
Only reason why I knew is because I remember seeing that you had a pic of your ticket but it took me too long to find it on Boxing Scene and again, I couldnt tell for sure if that was row B. I kept an eye out for you guys downstairs afterwards but missed you. It was definitely a great night
oh yeah, we must have changed tickets. it was a great night indeed.
Coño, bro! Excellent write up! lol You just made me relive that night! lol
It was awesome meeting you and Cam, Angry Cuban, Brickcityboxing and all their peeps. What a time!: The days leading up to the fight; the fight itself,; its outcome; and the after-party. I'm praying there's a great match-up for Rigo, or any of our fighters, in Miami in the near future. We'll meet again!
For sure bro if they do a rigo fight in miami we'll do it again
Cameron is that dude beside us on the pic with me cuban and cameron
I was sitting on the outside seat and cuban nyc was right behind me and cameron was to my right. we had seconrd row on the middle

I think there were 13 seats in each row up there. You had #12 but did you actually sit on the end in the aisle seat and your boy sat in 12? Is Cameron in any of your pics?

I heard the Cubans was deep out there. Didn't go but my boy went and told me all about it. Waited til the last minute to get a ticket and only the 175's was left. I love my boxing but I wasn't do it last night for that fight. I saw it home with a nice big cup of Henny and a few friends. Good stuff bro.
