After Saturday night's display of unbelievable skills I think Broner might now be a little worried that, perhaps, now people will switch over to Rigo and start calling him the next Mayweather. The way I see it....Broner might want to look like Mayweather but skill wise its pretty obvious that Rigo resembles him much...much more than Broner. I can't wait until a reporter asks him about what he thought about Rigo...of course he won't be honest....Don't worry Broner you can take 3rd place....hahahaha...just messing.
Using your feet as defense doesn't make you a superior fightrr when a fighter learns to slip punches while standing in front is hardet to master than moving ad dipping in to score Maywrathet can save that enegy because he's learned to fight in th picket which isn't easy
I agree with this as well...although I'd say Rigo uses his legs and footwork better than Mayweather ever has. But Mayweather is on another level compared to Rigo in terms of fighting in the pocket.

Rigo can slip while standing, there. He can do it all. Him using his feet just makes him better. Floyd and Broner dont use their feet, and if they did, they would be even MORE difficult to deal with. And I wont say Rigo is better than Floyd, but he is DIFFERENT. He seems just about equal in most parts, except, he uses his feet.
Rigo knew that Donaire had no right hand. Floyd and Broner have right hands. Rigo would never outbox a fighter like Floyd. Broner walks through Rigo eventually-if they were all 122 lbs.
Mayweather was winning with his feet and was so dominant that everybody complain he never engages. Now he engages people think he can not win using his feet? Mayweather will outbox Rigon using his feet.. and feint while thrusting forward with a straight. Rigon doesn't come forward except with his money shot that straight left.
I think we got ourselves a new flomo.
I think the Broner-Mayweather thing is a planned marketing drive more than an objective assessment of their similarities. Rigo is unlikely to be packaged in the same way.
I wonder what Top Rank are going to do with him though. It's unlikely that he'll gain a mass following, but he'll also beat almost anyone they put in front of him. He's the ultimate high risk-low reward guy.
Oh I know and understand this very clearly. But Mayweather in his younger years used his feet a lot more than he does now. But when you look at it Broner looks more like the Mayweather of today...he stands there more. If you look at Broner and Mayweather in his younger days there would be a big difference. Also, May's and Rigo's reflexes are way better than Broners.
Broner has great reflexes, so great he's been relying on them too much. As he moves on to fight the big punchers of 140, he will have to adjust or get hurt.

I said that, Mayweather was great with his feet early on, I was talking about now.
Mayweather vs rigo is just fantasy talk because May is obviously way too big for him. If they were the same size though, that would be an amazing fight to break down, two incredible defensive fighters and counter punchers.
I don't bet against Mayweather though.

give it a rest rigo is his own fighter he fights nothing like mayweather not even close and besides the shoulder roll defense i dont think broner that similar to floyd anyway
Just think of the nightmares Broner would be having if Rigo was campaigning at 135lbs.....
This exactly I wish there was someone like that in broners weight class to test him, but then again he might not fight him hah. I think broner loses to a fast boxer puncher with great defense.
boxing

Rigo fights nothing like Mayweather though. What makes Rigo so good is his feet, not the philly shell that Mayweather has mastered.
It's classic Cuban footwork mixed with power and speed he's been blessed with. Rigo wins with his feet, Broner and Mayweather don't or haven't. Well Mayweather was much better with his feet when he was younger but he is slowing down and Broner just stands in front of guys.
